Seller was very easy to communicate with and open about where my piece was in the creation process. Piece arrived safe and sound and is lovely!! Also, because the piece came a little later than originally expected (which I had known and was OK with), she included a thank you gift for being flexible. It was a very human touch and really went above and beyond to make my shopping experience great.

About

Work hard, stay focused, and dig deep!

Welcome to Elizabeth B. Ceramics!

In my early twenties I fell in love with making art and pursued a degree in Fine Arts from Clemson University. Thankfully, I had wonderful professors (and supportive parents!) who taught me the art of fine craftsmanship and taught me how to better observe line, form, texture, color, and space in this beautiful world that God has created.

Fifteen years have passed since I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. In that time, I have continued to paint, draw, and sculpt (and have had 5 beautiful babies!!!). About two years ago a quiet , yet clear whisper came across my spirit to get a pottery wheel. My life as an artist has not been the same since! I see everything in CLAY!

Currently, I am in a constant study of line, shape, form, color, and texture through a variety of cone 6 clays and glazes. I enjoy all the processes of clay as there is beautiful significance in each (wedging, throwing, building, drying, glazing, firing). One piece takes approx. two weeks from beginning (a ball of freshly wedged clay) to end (fired in my home studio kiln to approx. degrees). Each piece, functional or non, is a unique, one of a kind, piece of art.

Last year (2014), I launched my business Elizabeth B. Ceramics and began selling my ceramic work at different art festivals around South Carolina. Recently, I began selling my work at Art Mecca, an Art Gallery in Downtown Charleston, SC. I look forward to what this selling season (2015) has in store! Bringing my ceramic work in front of the eyes and minds of thousands of people who are looking for something unique and honest inspires me to "work hard, stay focused, and dig deep."

Again, welcome!
