One bag leads to another....

My very first sewing project was a bag made from batik fabric and I used it until it completely fell apart. I took such pride in knowing that I made something that was not only practical but unique. Since then, I have created bags for myself, friends and family. I joke that I will find any excuse to make a bag for someone....a birthday, a wedding, a new outfit, a bad day, a broken fingernail...

My sewing workroom is quickly expanding and I fear it will soon look like my mothers'.....it will take over half the house! She assures me that creativity (and fabric) needs space but I'm not sure my children will enjoy sharing their bedrooms with piles of fabric and thread.
