The Story of Ellie and Jayne and their Designs

Both my baby girls were born bald and were often mistaken as boys as infants. I started making headbands and hairbows in the hopes of improving the chances of them looking more like girls. It was a natural transition for me as they grew a little bit older to starting making a few simple skirts and peasant tops to match the hairbows I was making them.

Soon after my husband insisted I either needed to stop buying supplies or I needed to start selling what I was making. I didn't want to stop creating so I started selling and Ellie-Jayne Designs was born.

Over the years, I have perfected my sewing techniques though I am always excited to learn new ones. I am always on the look-out for fun new patterns to try. My favorite part about my shop is putting fabrics and trims together in creating the dresses and outfits and then making the perfect bow or headband to top it off.

Welcome to Ellie-Jayne Designs. I strive to make high-quality and long-lasting clothing and hair accessories. Our kids grow up fast enough, I want to provide clothing that allows kids to be kids who can be stylish but can still play.

Returns and exchanges
I do not offer refunds or exchanges on completely custom items - I will offer a discount on a replacement item. On non-custom items, I will offer a refund or an exchange - minus shipping charges - if there is a gross error on my part.
Payment
I take all forms of paypal and Credit Card payments.
Shipping
I only ship Priority Mail on all my clothing. Your items will arrive in a securely sealed package nestled nicely in tissue paper. Hair bows and Whimsy Wraps are sent First Class through the USPS unless requested to be upgraded to Priority Mail.

I will ship certain items that can fit into Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Boxes or Flat Rate Envelopes to specific countries. Prices are posted in those listings. All international customers are responsible for any and all tariffs or customs fees incurred.

If I have over-estimated shipping charges by a large amount, refunds will be issued through the same route payment was given.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders do require a 50% non-refundable payment up front for the supplies. The balance to be paid upon completion of the items and before shipment.
