Frequently asked questions

What is the “vintage fabric” found in so many item descriptions?

Unless stated otherwise, this is older fabric that’s never been previously used to make anything. I get vintage fabric from a variety of places; I buy from creative reuse stores, estate sales, occasionally thrift stores, and from private individuals.

Occasionally I’ll find vintage items that are suitable for reuse- items made from used materials contain this info in their descriptions.

What kinds of fabric are used in these items?

I use a great deal of vintage fabric, and while sometimes the fiber type is known and listed in the item’s description, sometimes it’s a bit of a mystery- especially when it comes to blends and their percentages.

If you have specific needs/wants/desires when it comes to fiber types, please send me a message and I’ll let you know which garments will work best for you.
