I started Elm Studios with $400 that was stored in my dresser for a couple years after I graduated from college. I owe it all to my first born Ella, who took amazing naps.. long enough for me to get restless and a little bored. :) One day I just decided I might as well start living my dream.

Funny things about dreams...they never quite work out the way you pictured it.

A couple years later after my 2nd child was born, Myah.. I found myself without a husband and a home. I wouldn't nor couldn't have been the person, mother or artist I am today if it wasn't for the support and love of my parents. They took us in so I would be able to continue growing Elm Studios and still be a stay at home mom for my girls. I found my business getting busier and busier within that 1st year at my parents. Elm Studios has restored so much in my life.. self worth, motivation to be my best as an artist and a mother and some added confidence, which is sometimes hard to find. A year later, I met my husband Chris who has been another great supporter on my journey.

Last Christmas we found out I was expecting my third baby. He was born on August 28th, 2013. His name is Levi- which means joined together. He is the piece of our puzzle that ties our family together. Elm Studios no longer stands for my initials, but the first initials of my children. As we head towards the next chapter of our lives I hope much inspiration will come to me and new ideas will be popping into my shop. Every piece I make has a story for someone. I'm hoping Elm Studios will continue to add to mine.
