Hola a todos, ¡Mi nombre es Ashley! Soy una enfermera registrada en el área de Dallas y me gusta quemar leña en mi tiempo libre. Mi tema favorito son las polillas (claramente) y trato de hacer tantos tipos diferentes como pueda, desde populares y conocidos hasta oscuros y subrepresentados. Rastreo imágenes de referencia de alta resolución de polillas reales, las aplico al papel de transferencia de carbono, las rastreo en la propia madera, quemo sobre mi trazado y luego las acuarelo en función de su imagen de referencia antes de recubrirlas triplemente con poliuretano de alto brillo. Todo lo que ves en mi tienda está hecho a mano de principio a fin por mí, usando herramientas manuales y mi Mastercarver Burnmaster Eagle, que no puedo recomendar lo suficiente si estás en el mercado.
También reacondiciono ocasionalmente las pantallas de las lámparas, porque me cansé de no poder encontrar pantallas de lámparas desagradables para acompañar mis desagradables lámparas vintage. Hice uno y me enganché, por lo que también aparecerán aquí y allá, con o sin una lámpara conectada.

Hey y’all, My name is Ashley! I’m a registered nurse in the Dallas area and I like to woodburn in my spare time. My favorite subject matter is moths (clearly) and I try to make as many different kinds as I can, from popular and well-known to obscure and under-represented. I trace high resolution reference images of real moths, apply them to carbon transfer paper, trace them onto the wood itself, burn over my tracing, and then watercolor them based on their reference image before triple coating them in high gloss polyurethane. Everything you see in my shop is handmade from start to finish by me, using hand tools and my Mastercarver Burnmaster Eagle, which I cannot recommend enough if you’re in the market.
I also occasionally refurbish lampshades, because I got tired of not ever being able to find obnoxious lampshades to go with my obnoxious vintage lamps. I made one and got hooked, so they’ll pop up here and there as well, with or without a lamp attached.
