Who's behind ::emilie rebekah designs::?
It's just me, a mom of the five-year-old wunderkind Hila. New to the scene will be some guest modeling done by Sophie, my talented nearly-seven-year-old nearly-step-daughter, whose father is a visionary jeweler (and excellent partner in life). In our house, creativity abounds!

What is "hila"?
"Hila" (pronounced "hee-lah") is my daughter's name, and it is Hebrew for aura, radiance, or even halo (which is humorous). In English, it's the plural form of "hilum", which is the point at which blood vessels and other stuff enter an organ. Not so many people know either definition.

What else do we do with our time?
I hold a master's degree in nonprofit management and run a theatre company (check it out: www.freefalltheatre.com) as well as a blog for a past employer of mine. Hila is working on entering kindergarten in the fall.
