Every letter one by one

There are experiences that mark our lives. Some are temporary, and some more permanent. Sometimes we need to be marked by a name, or a memory. Sometimes we need a verse or a phrase to help us get through a difficult season.

I hand stamp every single letter one by one in my work. Each piece takes time and thoughtful reflection. I often pray while I work.

I began stamping after experiencing the loss of two babies before birth, because I needed to be marked with their names. Micah and Phoebe. But stamping jewelry has become something that encourages and motivates me. I stamp all the things I need to hear into a piece of metal and then often, I'm not the only one who needs to wear something with that message. "You are enough" "You can do amazing things" "Be still" "Keep Breathing Mama" "You've got this" "You are stronger than the storm"

This work has helped me survive some extremely hard things in life and it has been an honor to hear the powerful stories of those who also wear my jewelry.

I love to work with beads and resin in my jewelry making as well, and I love that all kinds of jewelry can have special significance for people.

I live in Detroit MI, where I work from a studio space in my 110 year old home. I have three darling children and a cat and a dog.

Thanks for checking out my shop!

Frequently asked questions
Can I get both sides of a metal piece stamped?

Aluminum, copper and sterling bracelets (with the exception of the 1/8 inch size) can be stamped on both sides. In most cases, stamping the back of something costs $5 extra, but it depends on the length of the phrase.

Send me an email for price estimates for double sided stamping. Some necklaces can also be stamped on both sides, but not all, so always send me an email first!

Please do not just leave me a note on the checkout page that you need it double sided. I need to create a custom order for you if you want both sides stamped.

How do I care for Aluminum and Stainless Jewelry?

Stainless steel chains will stay beautiful for a lifetime. Do not leave them sitting in water, and it is always good to take your jewelry off before you shower.

Aluminum will not tarnish or change color. You can clean it with any jewelry cleaner or a bit of dish soap and water! It will get scratched and scuffed with wear. You can polish those out with a micro-abrasive polish pad. I recommend Pro Polish Pads. Or you can get it professionally polished.

If at any point you'd like me to professionally re-polish your jewelry, I will be happy to do that for you for $5 plus shipping. Just send me an email!

Can I get a different size chain or bracelet than listed?

Yes!

I can very easily shorten a chain. Just include a chain length in your order notes if you want it shortened.

I can cut down and make a bracelet smaller if it is made of aluminum, copper or sterling silver. I cannot cut down stainless steel bracelets. Measure your wrist tightly, and include that for me if you need a smaller size. Some phrases will not fit on a smaller size bracelet however, so email me if you are unsure if the length of your phrase will fit on the size bracelet you need.

Custom sized pieces will be treated as custom orders and will not always be shipped as fast as the ready made pieces.

Wholesale availability

Do not re-sell my work without my permission. If you are interested in re-selling my work, you can send me an email, however, I am very select about where and how my work is allowed to be re-sold. I will offer a wholesale discount, if I choose to sell to you for re-sale, but I will need to know your retail price BEFORE I give you a cost estimate. There will also be legal contracts involved.

Bulk dicounts

Please see my wholesale availability question if interested in re-sale. I do not want my products re-sold without my permission. For non-re-sale items, I offer discounts if buying 10 or more of the same item. Send me an email for pricing estimates.

Custom and personalized orders

Personalized orders from things I have in stock have a quick turnaround time as long as you are quick responding to my emails about your item.

Check the processing time on the listing to see what the current wait times are. It changes based on work load, but is typically only a few days.

Custom orders are not eligible for returns. Please make sure you know exactly what you want before placing the order. If you are unsure, just send me an email so I can work with you to create the piece you are dreaming of.

How do I care for copper or brass jewelry?

Copper and brass will tarnish quickly! But, it can be cleaned! It just takes a lot more maintenance than other metals.

My favorite way to clean it is with Autosol metal polish and then shining up with a pro polish pad.

How soon will my item ship?

Check the processing time under the listing details to find out how many days it will be before I ship your item. Most items in the shop are made to order, which means that I cannot ship same day in most cases.

Please be aware, USPS is not always on time! Sometimes they are efficient, but sometimes there are unpredictable delays. I ALWAYS deliver your item to the post office the same day I print the label. If your status says " pre-transit" for more than one day, it is simply because the post office has not scanned it yet. Please be patient with USPS. There have been extreme delays because of COVID and lack of labor.

I will be offering a fed ex option for the holidays.

How do I re-ink my jewelry when the ink has worn out?

Aluminum and stainless jewelry has black ink in it that will eventually wear out.

An easy way to re-darken the letters is with a sharpie marker and baby wipes. Just color over the stamped part of the jewelry with a sharpie and wipe off the excess ink with a baby wipe. A wipe with a small amount of alcohol in it will work best. You can also use a paper towel and a bit of rubbing alcohol diluted with water. If you have any problems, just contact me for help!
