About

EmilysCraftys: Vintage and Handmade Decor & Fashion for Happy Groovy Homes & People!

In painting, designing and curating my Etsy shop I strive to capture the moments in my own life that bring me joy and a sense of peace. The 1960’s kitsch brings me back to a moment in my childhood when I was being raised by grandparents, in a home that was warm and comforting, and decorated in olive green, with owls, and elephants, and Kim Casali comics. A lot of the bohemian fashion, and jewelry, are my way of replicating the earthy beauty that is bountiful here Colorado. The artwork is often times my way of trying to capture the backlighting of a smile, or joyous moment in parenthood. And the dolls, I started reborning when I was expecting my 2nd child. I started painting them, as a way of trying to imagine what my daughter would look like. I still dream about babies, even though I won’t be having any more of them, I am dreaming of grandkids already.

In everything I do, I strive to be more like my beautiful children. The money I earn here on Etsy affords me the luxury of being a stay at home mom, and being able to watch their journey close up has been the most amazing gift!!!
