The print is incredible! The colors are so vibrant and the canvas is nice and thick, perfect for hanging on the wall or framing.

About

Telling Stories Through Fire & Ash

Wood Fire Ink came to life through the encouragement of my loved ones and various kind strangers. I have always enjoyed creating and art, but had never seriously considered selling it until recently- and now I can't imagine stopping!

I first learned the appreciation of time-consuming, exacting artwork when my dad and I would create stained glass together. Through each step - choosing the design, matching the right glass, cutting and grinding the glass, soldering, finishing - I learned that patience and foresight can truly make the difference between an ok piece of work and a thing of beauty. I keep this in my mind every time I put the iron to my new pieces in order to create the best product possible.

Pyrography is an unusual medium because it engages more senses than most artwork. I make pieces to capture your eye and delight your mind, and I hope I succeed. But something is lost in translation over the internet because my work also has texture and scent. If you love the smell of campfire, my most recent pieces hold traces of ash and evoke memories of camping and woods. The textures are varied and are so much fun to experience! Some parts feel smoothly polished, others rough and rustic, and they all come together to create a piece that you can treasure for years. Some day, I'll figure out a way to have taste incorporated - maybe have a snozzberry flavor for you all to lick! Or perhaps taste is something best left to the chefs of the world.

A major part of my life and my priorities for my shop is connecting with peoples' authentic selves. I chose to tell stories through my art and highlight diversity through imagery. I understand that there are so many wonderful elements that make up a person and not all may be understood or welcomed in a given community. Here at Wood Fire Ink, I celebrate these differences! If you're a part of the LGBTQ community, otherkin community, if you're poly, pagan, or practice a shamanistic belief system... not only do I accept it... I adore the fact that you're living authentically. I hope you choose this studio to highlight the unique constellation that makes up your personality, and that we can work together to make the world a more beautiful place.

I would be happy to ship to a non-billing address, please let me know in a note upon purchase.

Overnight or rush shipping is negotiable, please include rush order needs in a note upon purchase and I will contact you concerning details and pricing. Since I do try to be as cost-effective with shipping as possible (for you!) my prices for overnight/rush shipping will vary according to the item purchased.

I take great pride in my customer service and the quality of my products. Please convo me if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason. This is only applicable to non-custom orders. I would appreciate a convo describing your decision in order to help improve my business and make sure to send out consistently quality items.

Because of the nature of custom orders, I can only refund 70% of the item's cost if you are unhappy with the product. If it is a non-specific item (no names, specific dogs or quotes, etc.) I will try to refund you 80%. This decision is made on an item-to-item basis and I cannot guarantee that I will be able to resell my items.

If you are ordering a piece and would like me to refrain from posting any photos until you either (a) receive the package or (b) give it as a gift, please just let me know and I will respect your wishes.

If you have any problems, please contact me before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I will always do my best to make sure you are a satisfied, and hopefully, a repeat customer!

I strive to do most things digitally, in order to not waste paper. With this in mind, I do not automatically include a print of your order/transaction with your purchase. However, I would be happy to do so per your request!
