A little info on how MY soap process works:

I make cold process soap, I make my soap bases in small batches to ensure freshness! The curing time for my bases is approx 2 weeks. After the soap has cured for the first time most of the water has evaporated out. I then remelt the soap per order to make your custom scented/colored soap.

Since most of the water is gone from the first curing time, the second curing time is a lot shorter. I can pop soap out of shaped molds within 12-24 hours of pouring, depending on the mold.

It is best to let this soap cure for one week before use ONLY because it will ensure a solid/hard bar that will last much longer. Your soap will spend 1-2 days curing in my home before shipped, 2-5 days in the mail, depending on the post office. So really by the time it gets to you your good to go! :)

It is always best to remove your soaps from packaging and place on a shelf, holder or rack as soon as purchased. Soap will continue to cure/harden for months after made, this will prolong the life of your soap.

It is also best to remove your bar soaps from the shower after use. Soap will "suck" up the moisture and water left in your shower (especially enclosed glass showers). So if you can remember, put soaps on a slotted holder to let water drain off soap and away from the moisture, I leave mine on my bathroom counter.

Have a ton of tiny pieces you cannot bare to throw away? Buy a soap saver bag, throw your little pieces in and use them til they are gone! :)

Enjoy your handmade soaps! :)
