Where new & vintage make a perfect marriage.

I can't help it, I just have to make beautiful things that have a little bit of yesteryear woven into them.
Whether it's researching the perfect technique or discovering that exquisite piece of gorgeousness, I long to have a little bit of history in everything I create.

While working as a costume maker for Disney's Beauty & the Beast in Her Majesty's Theatre Sydney, I stole the name of their work room & tucked it in my memory.
After 15 years of making costumes for theatre & working as a mobile seamstress on fashion parades & shoots, it became obvious that I needed to share my designs with a world beyond the stage & catwalk.
That is how Empireroom came about.

Payment is appreciated at time of purchase. If I do not hear from you within 48 hours with non-payment, I will cancel the sale and relist the item.

Paypal is a lovely, simple, secure way to purchase items, so I choose to use Paypal as my main method of payment. It also has a great Buyer Protection Policy, which can give you peace of mind too.

Shipping
Combined shipping is available for things purchased from this shop

✿ Every item is made to order especially for you.
Veils, headpieces & accessories take 2-3 weeks from the time you pay until it is ready to ship.
Items are made in the order that they are purchased, & I will let you know as soon as you pay what the wait time is on orders. Rushed orders can be custom made at an additional expense, if we have time.

You'll receive a message from me with a copy of the postal receipt, after your package hits the Post Office. After that it's all up to Australia Post & your local postage service.
I usually get to the Post Office on Monday & Friday, as necessary.
All pieces are packed in boxes, so they arrive in the condition they were sent. I try as much as possible to recycle boxes to come to me, to save cost & the planet.

You may request tracking & insurance at an addition cost.

► Domestic Shipping - all orders over $180 receive free domestic shipping by Express Post.

► International Shipping - Please remember I'm in Australia, so your goodies may take 3-4 weeks to arrive. Often times it only takes 10 working days.
If you need Express postage please convo me for the additional costs.

❉❉ PLEASE NOTE: Buyers are responsible for any and all Customs Charges, Taxes & Additional Postal Fees ❉❉
Some countries, particularly in the UK & Europe charge quite high customs fees. I cannot estimate what these will be on shipping. If you want insurance I must divulge the full cost of the item & postage on the customs form & you will be charged accordingly at your end.
Refunds and Exchanges
Hopefully there is never a need for a refund, I try to keep my customers smiling, but in the event that you are unhappy with your goodies please convo me within 7 days of receiving your item & I will endeavour to solve the problem.

A 20% or minimum $10 restocking fee will be charged for all standard items & there are not refunds on custom made orders.

Return postage charges are the responsibility of the customer & will not be refunded. All items must be suitably packaged & sent with tracking.
Empire Room will not be responsible items lost in return post.

PLEASE NOTE: All Empire Room pieces are made to order especially for you, so we do not provide a refund if you have changed your mind.

Everything you see in the Empire Room store is made to order & will take from 2 weeks to 4 weeks to create.
Delivery times are in addition to these time lines, so please allow enough time, so you won't be disappointed by the postie not arriving in time.

Given enough time, you can send me fabric to match an outfit exactly.
