The fabric is rich and creates a very deep gold feel - it did have some hot glue strings on parts of the fabric, but I think I got them all off. Out of the 5 items I ordered from this artist, this was the only one where I couldn't say the craftsmanship was top notch.

About

Distinctive Designs

I started by making more interesting barrettes for myself than could be found locally. Then, I explored a broader scope of women's accessories, including the complex and fascinating world of Japanese tsumami kanzashi fabric flowers. Menswear was next.

I became intrigued by the world of men's lapel accessories, and started using kanzashi flowers for those. Bow tie lapel pins and silk button lapels soon followed. I have always been a miniaturist, and making objects under 2 inches in diameter works for me! Also, I'm a gardener, so I have to include representations of actual flowers, such as daffodil, trillium, morning glory, and rose, to name a few.
