About EnchantedKnitwit

Sales 20
On Etsy since 2016

I love making hand-knit items, especially scarves!

I learned to knit as a child, while reading a story about a boy who knits a mile-long scarf. Our teacher made that unit really fun by teaching us to knit and it stuck with me. I enjoy creating many items but scarves are what I make the most. I have been giving them as gifts for years and love to do so. Knitting is a fun way to unwind at the end of the day, and I am enjoying the learning process to add new skills to my repertoire. Have fun, and thank you for taking the time to look at my shop!

I learned to knit as a child, and have enjoyed it ever since. I love making scarves to give to family and friends as gifts. Recently I have started to branch out my skills and learn more so stay tuned to see what awesome stuff I make!

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

The scarves I make are usually fairly long, as I like having the option to wrap them many different ways. Some are wider or longer than others.

I include the approximate measurements in each listing so there is a general idea--this of course does not take into effect general wear and tear that occurs during use such as light stretching after a few years of wear. Items may stretch slightly more with more use, such as after washing and hang-drying.

Care instructions

Most of the items I make are washable (some even machine washable and dryable). In most cases it is probably BEST to wash it with like colors on a cold gentle cycle, or by hand, and then hang-dry or lay flat to let air dry to avoid wrinkles/pulling/pilling/uneven stretching, etc.

Returns & Refunds

I want my customers to be absolutely satisfied with their final purchases! If you are unhappy with your product purchase, please contact me via message to arrange a return, exchange, and/or refund within 7 days of delivery. I will accept all reasonable return, exchange, or refund requests if items are returned to me within 21 days of delivery. I strive to deliver the very best in customer service and treat people the way I would want to be treated. Please don't hesitate to communicate with me--I will do my best to make you a happy, returning customer!

If you are happy with your purchase, I would love to get a positive review from you, so don't forget to leave one and tell your friends! Thank you!

Flaws

Even the most experienced knitter is going to have tiny flaws that show up in their finished pieces due to the nature of finishing/tying them off (or occasionally in the middle somewhere). This is part of what makes each piece unique and tells you that it was hand-made with care. Most of mine are small & mostly unnoticeable unless you are really looking for them, and are things that occur naturally in the process of finishing knit pieces--such as seams, small bumps or knots in corners or where yarn ends were joined together. These can often be turned the other direction (as in a seam worn on the underside of a headband, or a knot that can be tucked under the other end of a scarf). If you have ANY questions, please message me & ask! :)

Color Variations

Though I list my items with the best, most well-lit photos as possible, the colors may vary a bit or even seemingly a lot due to variations in color on computer screens and lighting where each person is when viewing it. That is why I also do my best to be as descriptive as possible with words in the listings, to give the viewer an even better idea of color in case it may look different to them in real life vs. on the screen. If you have any questions about the color(s) of a particular item, please ask! I'd be happy to respond to any questions about the appearance of an item.

Custom and personalized orders

I don't typically do a ton of custom or personalized orders yet--but if there is something you'd like to commission me to make, please send me a private message to discuss it! I'd be happy to make you something custom if it's within the reasonable realm of my skill set, or try to point you to another wonderful seller who can help you out if it turns out that it's not something I've ventured into yet. It never hurts to ask! :)

The turnaround time on these may also be longer, for example if I need to order a specific color or type of yarn (which I'd be happy to do if that's what is desired). Examples of items I can make fairly easily include (but are certainly not limited to) Ponytail/Messy Bun Hats, Baby Hats or Blankets, Scarves, etc.
