Note from shop owner After much debate and thought I have decided to put my store on vacation mode. I have not made this decision lightly and to encourage transparency my last answer explains why. But first the cut and dry answers.

--What does this mean?

I will not be taking any new order for the foreseeable future

--What about the current orders?

I will be continuing to work on existing orders every day as much as I physically can and continue to make them with the same standard of quality or better than I have produced in the past.

--How long are orders taking to be made currently?

I wish I had a firm answer. I can tell you where you are in line but I have come to the conclusion that due to the circumstance, explained below, giving firm dates has not been working well and has led to unwanted disappointment and frustration. I am working every night when my husband is home and any day he is off on mandos.

--Are you taking a vacation?

No. If I am not tending to our baby, sleeping, or doing basic things required to continue our existence/ maintain some sanity, IE: cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, ect, then I am working on mandos.

--Are you still answering emails/etsy msg even if they are not about an existing order?

Yes, just please try to be patient with me. I am not the fastest responder right now. I have been trying to answer messages during his naps which are not consistent yet.

--Are you still posting to social media?

When I can. I have been documenting my work as I have been finishing and shipping but posting it has been low on my priority list.

--Since covid numbers are on the rise in Florida and especially in your county now, what precautions are you taking in shipping?

Once an order is complete it will be packed, and labeled for shipping. However, there will be a 1 day quarantine before packages are shipped. Currently my test as of July 1st is came back clear but if I should get sick I don't want to spread it on accident.

--If things change will this post be updated?

Yes, this page will be updated with the latest information.
.
--When do you plan to re-open?

I do not have a firm date. My back log must be finished first; however, when it happens my plan is to have my turn around time back to 4 weeks or less.

--Will you advertise this?

Yes, I will advertise the tar out of it.

--Will there be a sale??

A sale will most likely happen.

--What can we look forward to when you reopen?

There is a strong chance of many new and fun changes being available when I reopen. Ranging from: new products, updated instruction videos, more in depth breakdowns of options, and more options on existing products. And maybe some other fun new things you aren’t expecting from a soft parts maker. More on that last one when some logistics are worked out. Yes, you will see previews of these on social media in the future.

THE BIG QUESTION with a long answer:

Why are you doing this?

My work got more popular than I expected when the Mandalorian came out since more people realized how cool it is to be a mando. Then after that we had our first child at the end of Jan and things didn’t go as planned. An unexpectedly rough birth and start to life was followed by more unforeseen medical issues for him and I. Some of which I am still dealing with but thankfully he is happy and healthy. I greatly underestimated how much time it would take to tend to a baby or how long I would need to ‘bounce back’ to full speed.

Then covid hit and even though I prepared by stocking up reasonably on supplies our world was still turned upside down more than we expected. I again greatly underestimated how much I have and would have needed to rely on help from other people with child care, work, and many other things. Recently Granny, my husband’s mom, has been coming over to babysit so I can work more. However, this may change due to the number skyrocketing in Florida and especially in our area. We are currently spending a lot of deep thoughts on the situation in our area.

After much debate and feeling very guilty about my backlog and for tending to my child over work. I have decided putting the shop on hiatus from new orders made the best sense. I don’t want to ruin my reputation that I have worked so hard to build for the last 3 years nor do I want to inconvenience any more people in their mando builds. I completely understand if people cannot wait any longer and would prefer a refund. I will do complete refunds to customers if they want one.

My overarching goal is still to make the highest quality mandalorian soft parts I can that meet or exceed my client’s requirements and expectations for their mandalorians. Because of this I will not be rushing through my order just to send them out. You all have waited long enough you deserve quality.

I would also like to thank the mandalorian community for being so supportive and understanding in these past few months. This is the way!
