I was shocked at how quickly these arrived, and loved the way they turned out. I was looking for a subtle ways to tie in my love of trees to our wedding day, and these were perfect. Not only do we plan to use them in our wedding ceremony but as bedside ring holders.

About

Reclaimed Wood Becomes Something Better

I often find branches and trees when I am out fly-fishing and hiking in the mountains. I became accustomed to climbing over these trees and pushing dead branches out of the way. Then one day my wife asked me to make her a pie stand. I thought of all that wood just sitting in the forest and how much more beautiful it was than the wood found at the local home improvement center. Now I had an excuse to go fishing again. End Grain Wood Shoppe was born.

Each piece of wood is treated with the respect it deserves. After a successful or not so successful day fly-fishing, I pile the wood in the truck bring it home and let the wood tell me what it wants to be. Some of it wants to be coasters, some candle holders, but it all has a purpose and I help it realize this purpose.

I am a father of three and devoted husband that has always been obsessed with the natural beauty of wood. I love fly-fishing and often come across pieces of wood that will rot on the forest floor if not given the chance to be something more.
