Each of my high-quality Ephemeral Legacy original designs is made using the ancient “Cire Perdue,” or “Lost Wax” method. This tradition preserves the artisan’s individual touch on every piece. I begin by hand-carving into wax, then transform the wax through several steps into a prototype, or Master, from which your order is made. The wax is ephemeral, but the jewelry piece can be made again and again, one at a time. I strive to make works of art that you will be proud to pass on to future generations. Since each piece is unique, (not mass produced in a manufacturing process), your piece may have slight variations from the photograph shown.

In January 1984 I was Asked by my father if i wanted to learn how to make jewelry, as his long time friend Luis Portillo kindly offered to teach me, I was 14 years old at the time.
It has been 34 years since I started learning this art, and I recall how fascinating the whole process seemed to me from start to end. This early encounter with this ancient technique of metal-work has led me to a life of creativity.
Born and raised in El Salvador through the late 70's, and the 80’s were tough. Due to my family's economic circumstances in the midst of political turmoil, I was forced to do multiple jobs at a very young age. Whether it was picking coffee beans when I was just a kid, helping look up my family’s chicken farm or cooking food at a local restaurant, etc. working with precious metals has always been my passion.
Forced to leave my country due to the same political situation, my future seemed very uncertain. In 1990, driven by my dreams of a better future I moved to the United States.
I was given the opportunity to cover a polisher position for two weeks at a jewelry shop in Torrance, CA. As a result of my good working habits and previous knowledge, I ended up working there for four years accumulating more experience. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to create and design for major brand names and work as a collaborator designer with others, such as Stanley Guess, Marshall Stanton and Royal Order.etc
The whole process of creating from scratch or transforming an idea into a piece of jewelry is a very pleasant feeling. I spend many hours in my studio, I can proudly say that I love what I do!
