5 out of 5 starsI had been eyeing this ring for a long while and snagged the last one left in my size! It's so finely made and beautiful, I feel lucky to have one. The cast is incredibly detailed. My ring shipped in a secure package within the time stated in the shop policies, and Jessica provides really great customer service & support. Thank you so much!

I am an artist living and working in Ypsilanti, Michigan making jewelry and sculpture. My work is inspired by non-human animals, both their life and death as well as their lives in interaction with our own. All the animal materials were either found by me or by others and no animals were harmed. All work is created by me in my shared studio. I hold an MFA in metalsmithing, I strive for high craftsmanship and attention to details in my work.
The bones used in my designs are cast in metal using the lost wax method of casting. I create a mold from the bones I find and then create multiple wax models from the mold. Bone burns at a much higher temperature than the temperatures used in the lost wax method, therefore I cannot cast directly from the bones. Insects I find are cast directly.
This collection of jewelry is an extension of my artwork. I work in metal, wood and 2D materials. To see my work, visit www.jessicatenbusch.com
