About

Handknitted by me with love for you

I remember being six years old and my nan sitting me on her knee and teaching me to knit :) that was 30 years ago! And I still love knitting.

I've also been psychic since a child and often didn't understand how I knew things were going to happen before they did. Or understand how I knew stuff about people that there was no way I could have.

I've recently finished my reiki mastership and am loving reiki. I unfortunately cannot offer it through this shop as etsy doesn't allow it. But it's something that gives me so much joy. To be able to help others heal, it's wonderful.

I'm a single mum who doesn't work in the paid workforce although I have a degree in environmental science.
Knitting has always been a hobby for me and I take such joy in creating something that someone else can wear.
I'm the kind of person that can do anything I put my mind too and I have so many different skills and talents, in fact if anything breaks my kids will say 'it's ok, mum will fix it' :)

This shop combines some parts of me that I do not get an outlet for elsewhere, I enjoy making and creating and I would dearly love nothing more than to create a unique piece for you!

Love to you,

Louise x

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

I can do customised orders because I handknit my items from scratch.

If you have a picture of something you would like to be knitted please send it in. If I can find a pattern to match I can knit it. I also have basic design skills so I maybe able to create one similar also. Please ask.

Sizing details

All items are knitted to an average size unless size is a specified option on the listing.

If in doubt please message me as I can most definitely knit to your own size.

Also if a listing is for a specific size, eg adult and not kid or vice versa, I am happy to create a listing for the correct size. Please just ask.

Care instructions

I highly recommend handwashing all woollen items. This is the gentlest method of washing wool and it will ensure your item stays looking perfect and fits perfectly for many years to come.

Please hand wash with a wool wash and gently squeeze excess water out of item after washing with a towel (you can roll the item up in the towel).

Then to dry lay the item flat in the shade so it dries gently. Please ensure your item is not stretched a funny shape while drying as it will remain that way when dry.
Alternatively if you wish to stretch your item to get a bit more ease (size) in your hat etc then you can stretch it out slightly and it will dry bigger than it was - you can also do this to make the item smaller than it was.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I am happy to gift wrap if it's for a present please let me know with a note to seller at the checkout.

Wholesale availability

I am open to wholesale orders, please contact me.

Can I order different colours or fabric type

Yes!

Please message me the colour you wish me to knit your item in. I can do multiple colours or stripes. Please ask.

On most listings I've included colour charts so please type which colour you would prefer as note to seller at checkout or in a message.

I'm happy to answer any queries you have.

I can knit with wool, cotton or acrylic.
I mostly carry wool.

If I have the yarn I can begin knitting straight away and the item will talks less than a week to ship.

If I need to order yarn please allow extra time for me to source the yarn.
Although I now live in the same town as spotlight so I can source yarn straight away unless it's by a designer such as jo Sharp, Debbie Bliss or Rowan which can take up to 3 weeks to arrive.

How Long does an item take to knit.

Generally your item will be posted off in 3 business days.

The only exception really to this is if I have to Order in the colour you want. This can add up to two weeks. My supplier has the coziest, softest wool but unfortunately they can take up to 5 days to process my order then it will take 3-5 days to ship to me. I keep using them because their wool is the best.

If your happy to use a lower quality wool I can source some locally and your hat will still take only 2-3 business days.

MOST of the time I have the yarn I love to use and can get it to you quickly.

If you are unsure then please just message me, I'm only too happy to answer any questions.

Postage

I have now introduced Flat Rate shipping of $5 domestic Australian orders which includes tracking on all items except digital.

International is $15-25 Australian Dollars for postage which is also tracked.
