Announcement   Hello and welcome to Erin Jane Designs!

I specialize in fine jewelry that is modern and versatile.

My favorite materials to create with are 14k gold, sterling silver, recycled metals and colorful gemstones. Rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces are my most common pieces; but I do add custom items from time to time! Message me if you want to create your own custom piece!

I'm a metalsmith working out of Seattle, WA. The sterling silver and 14k gold I use in my designs is always recycled. My design philosophy is to create pieces that beautifully balance simplicity and femininity with a modern aesthetic.

About

Modern, feminine, simple and really, really pretty jewelry

I am a jewelry designer working and living in Seattle, Washington with my husband, two adorable children, and a dog. I was born and raised in Northern Minnesota and spent my college years in Colorado, graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Marketing.

Erin Jane Designs was born in 2006. Since then I haven't stopped learning and loving jewelry, metal, gemstones, metalsmith techniques, photography and all the other craziness that comes with running a one (super) woman business.

Each piece of jewelry I make is a little piece of art. While I’m forming, cutting, sawing, sanding, soldering, polishing and stone setting I'm thinking about who this little art piece is going to belong to. I think about who's neck, ear, finger or wrist it will light up and who's day it might make.

Using traditional metalsmith techniques, the designs I create are always some wonderful combination of feminine, simple, fresh, modern, colorful and delicate.

My designs focus on natural gemstones and recycled precious metals. The metal I use in my designs is all recycled.

Once your payment is received, in stock items will ship within 1-3 days and made to order items approximately 2 weeks. I ship to the address listed in your Etsy transaction, unless you tell me otherwise. You will receive a shipping confirmation email from me once your package is in the mail. I ship USPS first class mail. But, if you need something expedited and/orf you would like insurance added to your shipping, I'm happy to include that too, just let me know and I will send you an invoice to cover the extra. All items are nicely packed and shipped in a cotton filled box (brown, recycled paper) with an Erin Jane Designs logo on it and wrapped up with a ribbon. if you would like to add a personalized note, I’d be happy to include that free of charge.

Orders shipped via USPS first class mail within the US usually take 3-7 days to arrive.

Orders lost in the mail will not be refunded. The buyer is fully responsible for the risks of international shipping. I recommend upgrading your shipping to include insurance for orders under $100. Please just let me know if you would like to do that and I will arrange for it.

Additional policies and FAQs
Rings - please make sure that you know your ring size prior to ordering. Changing the size of a ring once it's made is a very difficult process and sometimes impossible.

Don't know your size? You can buy a reusable ring sizer with free shipping from me!: http://www.etsy.com/shop/erinjanedesigns?section_id=7051263

That said, I may on occasion be able to resize some of the already made rings in my shop. This would be done on a case by case basis for a fee which will also depend on the level of difficulty. Please contact me before you purchase if you require a different size.

For wholesale inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

Frequently asked questions

CAN YOU RUSH MY ORDER?

Yes, I can! If you need an item by a specific date, please message me first to check on availability and I will do my best to accommodate.

CAN YOU RECYCLE MY OLD JEWELRY INTO A NEW RING?

Unfortunately, I cannot melt down or rework your old jewelry or scraps :(. I use recycled metals - but that means I purchase them from refineries who supply only refined metals that come from previously-mined sources. The metals may have come from old jewelry at one point in their life, but then they went through a very long and expensive process to reconstitute the molecular structure of the metal to make it usable as if it were new again. I recommend sending your scraps/old jewelry to a trusted refinery to get the trade-in value. You can then use that money toward buying your new ring. (A great way to keep the recycling process going!)

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR DIAMONDS FROM?

I get all my diamonds from members of AGTA (American Gem Trade Association). They have extremely strict codes of ethics that they enforce for all members. I'm not as comfortable throwing the words "fair trade" and "conflict free" around as some designers. The more I read, the more I have to shake my head when I hear those terms used so freely. The way the diamond trade works, it's almost impossible for small scale designers to know where diamonds *originally* came from. But, what I will happily say is that my vendors are reputable and when they buy first hand, it's always conflict-free, but they do also trade stones so much, that it's harder to say for one specific stone.
