I can't say enough about how easy OJolieDesign made this ordered. I needed a bulk order on short notice and they were happy to help. I got the items exactly when I needed them and they were lovely gifts for some volunteers. Thank you again for accommodating my request!
My love for gift giving and my business background combine for one rewarding Etsy shop experience!
I graduated from college with degrees in Business Management and French and while I enjoyed a few design courses, I was set on working corporate America. I was "sidelined" when our first son came, oh about 7 years earlier than planned, and so I decided to utilize my entrepreneurial drive from my basement laundry room instead of a luxe office. I marketed, sold and shipped a variety of fashion items until I found success hand-stamping jewelry. One of my friends had a darling bracelet, stamped with her kids names and after searching for something similar and coming up short for an affordable option, I did what seemed like a better alternative...I bought metal stamps, took a few online classes and crafted my very own bracelet. I was so excited to hone my newfound skill and so I began making gifts for friends and soon those friends wanted gifts for their friends. I continued reading and researching techniques and reached out to other designers. In 2010,after three, rowdy sons, my husband and I had a baby girl, named Olivia Jolie and so when I decided to casually open an Etsy shop, I used her name because she was a bit of a diamond in the "rough", if you will. I mostly wanted a spot on the internet that I could direct friends to check out when they asked about what I was creating. But then a curious thing happened. I sold something to someone I didn't know. I knew the possibility existed but I was delighted, ecstatic, encouraged and thrilled when someone chose ME!
As more sales came my way, a growing sense of awe for this wonderful marketplace called Etsy took over my heart and I have been blown away by the amazing artists, designers and shoppers that I have been privileged to meet along the way. While I may have arrived on the Etsy scene with an unassuming disposition, I've had to employ discipline, focus and even failure to grow and maintain my business. In 2012, my soul sister, Anna, began to put her hammer to work and expanded a line of necklaces for children which are sold in my shop. I've continued to focus on creating jewelry and gifts that express who you are and who you love. What began as my zeal for gift giving has become a rewarding business for which I am so grateful!
Head over heels in love with Etsy! I've met the sweetest, kindest & most gracious people here and my loyalty to the organization and the people whom I am privileged to create for runs deep!
