My passion for rock collecting and jewelry making began in Santa Fe, NM where I stumbled into a fossil shop with my kids, thinking they would find it facsinating. Among the fossilized fish, "dinosaur" bones, dirt and dust, I found a tray of the most beautiful turquoise stones. Trained as a painter, and at the time a stay at home mom raising kids, I was quite crafty and always looking for a creative outlet since the days of staying up late and painting large canvases no longer was possible. These beads so intrigued me, I had to buy them! I had no idea what I would do with them but I just had to have them. I got home, fashioned myself a necklace, started wearing it and got so many compliments I thought, Hmm, maybe there's something to this! One day I wondered into a local art gallery wearing my necklace and was asked if I made jewelry and was I interested in having some in the gallery! I went home, ordered some materials online and 6 years later, here I am!

I love combining beautiful, textural gemstones with different metals or leather and making beautiful, natural, wearable jewelry. It's become an obsession-I'm always looking for beads, gems, supplies (much to my family's regret-especially during vacations!)
