I loved painting this so much that I did three of them! Of course each one is a little different because no two hand painted pieces are exactly alike. And if you're in need of a personalized mug with this design I will be happy to paint more of them!
I had so much fun painting this little red squirrel! He definitely adds some cuteness to your Fall wine madness! Happy Fall :)

Welcome to Essex Studio!

My name is Christine Essex. I started out as an artist very young and really developed my talent in high school. A few years ago I began painting on glass and it's been the start of a whole new adventure for me. Much of the glass is found second hand. Whether it's an antique vase, jar, or completely odd shaped bottle, I enjoy giving new life to otherwise discarded treasures. Sometimes the most unusual and unique pieces pop up and I'm inspired to paint something that even surprises myself! I also paint everyday household glassware, such as wine glasses, mugs, tumblers, bowls, and anything else you can think of!

I began selling my hand painted glass at craft fairs and shows a couple of years ago. It was wonderful to see how others reacted to my work and the buyers were always thrilled! I got such positive responses that it inspired me to open this shop on Etsy. If you're interested in seeing much more of the work I've done in the past, check out my Essex Studio Facebook page. Feel free to reach out to me for custom order requests!

I'm a wife and mom of two (Jack and Corrine). We live in a rural area in the Catskills, NY. I love being outdoors and in the woods. Much of my inspiration comes from the scenery around where I live- wildflowers, trees, and cute little critters!

Care instructions

For longest lasting life of glassware, it is recommended that users hand wash with the soft side of a sponge. Do not allow glassware to soak in water for long periods of time.

Although the painted surfaces are cured and can withstand washing on the top rack in a dishwasher, frequent washing can compromise the lifespan of the paint. Abrasive surfaces and harsh chemicals will also deteriorate the paint over time. Essex Studio is not responsible for normal wear and tear as the quality of care directly impacts how long painted glassware will last. With proper care, the glassware can be treasured for many years!

Please feel free to contact me for more information on care instructions.
