Announcement Welcome to etcArts! I try to keep my shop stocked with examples of everything I make, so if there is a particular type/color/size that you’re looking for just ask! I probably have it or can make it for you.

What Can I Say!? But WOW! The most Interesting & abstract mug in my 200+ Collection. Love how it rests/sits off at an angle. The texture makes you want to touch it! The design/form is most unique. & colors don’t disappoint either. 💯👍🏻

one from my other pair broke so I had to buy another because I loved them so much. I wore them every day

I love this statement piece. It is weighty enough to feel significant, but light enough to be super comfortable to wear. The design is so striking and original. I love it!

What a perfect pot! I have been searching for over 6 months for an interesting hanging pot and came upon this seller's site. So supremely happy with my purchase. Highly recommend this shop. My Hoya is feeling the love from this planter ❤
I make ceramic objects that I want to exist
etcArts (etcetera•arts) is the business name for ceramic artist/potter Eric Sewell, who has been doing this thing off and on for almost 20 years.
The short story is I've been making ceramic work (somewhat) steadily since college and etcArts is the business/entity that I create work as/under. This online presence was established in 2007, maintained regularly until about 2014 or so, and then rebooted in June 2017.
The LONG(er) story is that I, Eric (that's me, writing this) became interested in clay while pursuing an art degree of some sort in college. After graduation I applied to graduate schools, taught college level design and illustration, worked as a production artist, and worked as a tech support trainer for a medical software company, at various times, over a period of 12 years (with some gaps and/or overlap in chronology in there.) Over that time I've gotten to a place where I have the equipment and space to create things and sell them and pay the mortgage.
I only use non-toxic, food safe glazes in my work unless otherwise noted. All work is food, dishwasher, and microwave safe unless otherwise noted. Hand washing is always recommended for heavily textured or delicate pieces.
There may be very slight differences in the color/tonality of the photos versus the actual item. Every effort is made to represent the piece as accurately as possible, but also I hate taking photos of my work.
