I've been making up-cycled tote bags (with a pocket!), using upholstery samples, from furniture stores (And having a blast!).
As someone who loves to design, build, make and create with leftovers, off-cuts and bits and pieces, finding these fabric samples to make myself a new grocery tote was awe inspiring. Now I have a whole inventory of totes.
One of the best things about thrifting is finding one of a kind and interesting pieces. This is what makes creating these up-cycled totes so satisfying, knowing that no one will have the same bag as another, and that they're stopping fabric samples from heading to the landfill. Win, huge win. It allows me to spread joy and feel good about my effect on the environment, elevate up-cycling and bring good design and art to life.
Nature has always been a massive part of my life. Over the last 3 years sustainability has become apparent as a common denominator in my artwork. I've begun to notice the trend of of working with trees and water and sustainable transportation and building. I see it in my stickers and illustrations in the form of tree rings, acorns, pinecones, using old bicycle components, flow and shades of water.

5 out of 5 starsThis bag is lovely. I had been wanting it for a while and finally bit the bullet. I couldn't be more excited about my purchase. Christina also included some stickers, a hand written note(which I repurposed as a bookmark) and she threw in coasters(which I had been needing). You're amazing Christina! Thank you for such wonderful products and customer service. I will be a returning customer!

5 out of 5 starsThis is such a beautiful little bag. It is sturdy but not stiff, and cinches satisfyingly. Love that I'll get to use it year after year!

Holy Smokes. Where to start! I've always loved making stuff. Then I went to art school, fell in love with Intaglio printmaking & studied communications. Now I design and make anything I can get my hands on to help make the world a better place to be.
