Great design and the patch I ordered (United Equestria) arrived in perfect condition - very quickly might I add. :D It was received on the fifth business day with standard shipping, and it was obviously handled well by the seller. It also came with a Derpy postage stamp. Who can argue with that?! No false advertising here, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

These eyes are just perfect for my pony plushes! The colors are just right. There was a mistake in the ordering, but E was able to work it out very quickly and was very helpful in answering my questions. I highly recommend E's shop and these eyes. Thanks so much, E!! I will be back!! :)

About

That one time, I saw a show. It was a good show.

A few years ago, I needed a sewing machine for some curtains. I decided to get one that could also do embroidery. Now, I make way too many different embroidered things!

Frequently asked questions

I have my own embroidery machine, can I use your designs to make my own stuff?

Absolutely! A lot of the designs I have created are available for free on my blog at ethepony.com or on my Deviantart at ethepony.deviantart.com. Feel free to make anything you want with my designs for yourself or for gifts, but please do not make them to resell. If you purchase the digital design sets from the store, then you may also sell your creations. I do ask that you not sell patches though, as I am working towards paying for the software and embroidery machine I use to make these patches and designs.

Custom and personalized orders

As long as it is MLP:FiM related, I will do my best to make different designs. Email me a sketch or drawing with what you want, and I will attempt to make it. Be aware not everything will be able to be turned into an embroidered design, especially complicated designs. Drawing using thread is quite a bit different than using a marker, and there are limitations. Max size is 12 by 18 inches.

Do you make other designs besides MLP:FIM?

Not often, but if I have available slots I will try. Send me a note on what you would like and I can let you know.

Why did I receive other things in addition to my order?

Rarity sometimes sneaks into the shipping department and includes extra stuff in outgoing packages. These extra items may consist of test runs of designs, one off designs, or products that don't meet my quality standards.

Can you do the design facing the other way?

Most designs can be made with either a left or a right facing. If you have a preference, please enter a note for the facing you would like (looking left or looking right) and the design will be made that way. If ordering cutie marks, specify if it is for the character's left side or the right side. Note that some characters have had cutie marks facing both ways over the years (such as Rainbow Dash), so if you are unsure, send me a note with a picture you would like to match.

How do I attach patches?

It depends on your personal preferences. I prefer to sew them on using transparent thread, which will help the patch stay attached forever. You can also use iron on glue or iron on backing (interfacing). Iron on fabric backing can be had at pretty much any fabric store and is cheaper than glue such as Patch Attach. Interfacing goes between the patch and fabric, and it is heated and melts using an iron. In either case, make sure the patch doesn't get too hot as patches can melt. Make sure to follow the directions on the glue or interfacing. If you need a small piece of iron on material, please send me a note with your order. I will include a piece if I have any.

How long does shipping take in the US?

Shipping times depend on which shipping option is chosen. The cheapest option is for first class mail, which takes 3 days to 2 weeks. According to my records, about 85% of the packages I ship are received by the 8th calendar day. 11% are received between day 9 and day 30, and 4% are lost somewhere along the way. If you do not receive your order within 2 weeks of your order, please let me know.

How long does shipping take outside the US?

First class mail takes 4 to 6 weeks for international shipping time and to clear customs. Each country is different in how long they hold mail in customs before delivering it; Germany is the longest that I have found at 8 to 9 weeks, with the UK being second, at 7 to 8 weeks. Most other countries are around 6 weeks. I try to send orders as a regular letter with polyester sheets to protect it, which I have found tends to get though customs faster than a package. If needed, I can do priority or express international shipping, but cost is greater. Priority (7-9 days) is around $50, and global express (3-4 days) is around $90 USD depending on country. For an exact quote, send me a note before you order.

I want to undercut you, can you help me start a business selling patches?

Yes, absolutely! I have helped lots of other folks start embroidery, sewing or plushie businesses, probably more than 50 by now; quite a few of them are here on Etsy. I actually post my finances & taxes online publicly on my tumblr if you want to know the finances that go into running a business like this. If you have questions about the business itself, feel free to drop me a note or email.
