This bracelet was just as pictured and described. Very good quality and nicely designed. It was delivered quickly and was a Christmas gift for a friend. She loves it.

Modern Vintage Art Jewelry

I’ve been an artist since day one. When I was thirteen years old I decided I was going to make it my career (talk about focused!). And so, I continued on to become a graduate of Paier School of Art in Connecticut, and then a long career as a graphic designer.

Eventually, the muses guided me to discover the art of working with metal. To me, metalsmithing paralleled many of my favorite qualities of graphic art—design principles, drawing with line, printmaking, and balance, to name a few.

I couldn’t resist my fascination with this medium and thus my jewelry career was born. I’ve been studying and practicing this art form since 2007.

Inspired by my favorite design periods of all, the Arts and Crafts and Art Deco eras, I create pieces that marry my graphic design experience to my metalsmithing work. “Modern Vintage” best describes my style, which has elements of retro architecture and fashion design blended with a contemporary edge.

My art jewelry is a mix of old and new, elegance with industry. I often work with metal clay (a modern metal technology) in conjunction with old-world metal working techniques.

My studio is in my home. My bench faces a big window through which I watch the seasons come and go. I’m always happy to go to work and I love what I do. I solder, saw, hammer, roll and sculpt metal clay, and finish my jewelry by sanding, polishing and adding patinas. I give my best to every piece.

I'm proud to be a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan, a certified artisan in the metal clay medium and a member of SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths). In my spare time I love to practice yoga, bake and read.

I have an exclusive collection just for wholesale. Please see my web site: www.evelynpelati.com or you can find me on Etsy Wholesale.
