Announcement   Hi everyone!

Welcome to my online shop! Everything you come across is 100% original, unique, affordable, and all handmade by me. Make sure you take a look around, there's something for everyone....enjoy! Also, be sure to "like" me on facebook at: www.facebook.com/evelynvillegasjewelry.

Brief History of where Peruvian Point originated:

I would like to showcase the Peruvian Point style of jewelry making, similar to the weaving technique. Peruvian Point is recognized as one of the finest jewelry making styles in the world. In Peru, we have always had great teachers of this technique, because of its unchanged style that has been passed through generations.

Although Peruvian Point is not a style that was originally developed in Peru, (it's origins are traced back to Spain and Portugal) it was quickly taken to the Americas by the European conquistadors. This jewelry making technique was perfected in the cities of Huamanga, Ayacucho, and Huancayo Peru, where we adopted and perfected it in our own way.

Thanks to this online shop and my craft shows, I am able to show you the beautiful jewelry that I enjoy making so much.

About

I came from Peru looking for a dream...

in the initial stages, Evelyn Villegas Jewelry began in Peru, and has since transfered to the United States.

We all love jewelry.....yes that includes the fellas! EVJ is on Etsy to showcase a personal interpretation to the Peruvian Weave jewelry making technique. In Peru we have always had great teachers of this technique, because it is an unchanged style that has been passed on from generation to generation for many centuries. So that you are able to familiarize yourselves, it shares some similarities to crochet. Although Peruvian Weave is a style that was not originally developed in Peru (it originates in Spain and Portugal), it was quickly taken to the Americas by the conquistadors who came to colonize South America. This jewelry making technique was perfected in the cities of Huamanga, Ayacucho, and Huancayo Peru, where we adopted and perfected it, turning this style into our own, which in turn is what allows me to show you the beautiful jewelry that I sell, recognized as one of the finest jewelry styles in the world!!
