Time is not priceless, but it's cheaper than you think.
In 2010 I realized that in my years of being an artist, costume and fashion designer I had accumulated a large amount of vintage items. All of them were great inspiration, but they seemed to take up far too much space. The idea of just putting them out in a yard sale for random people to walk by with no appreciation or love for quirky, retro and antique items discouraged me. That's when I found Etsy.
Etsy has been an excellent platform for me to photograph, upload and sell the vintage and antique jewelry, clothing and small wares that I'd accumulated over years. When I have a new item or retired costume of my own creation I've been able to put them out for a wider audience to have a look and possibly buy. I have shipped vintage items around the world to Australia and Israel, Japan and Ukraine.
I run my Etsy store out of my home where, despite my original intentions, I have ended up with even more vintage items than I started with. Every month I have a new batch of discoveries and creations to find loving homes for.
I started this shop to thin out things I inherited from two grandmothers, then my mother-in-law sent me things, them my sister, then my own mother. I am still overwhelmed with stuff that is just too good, to special or too old to just toss.
Photographer, Shipper, Assistant
This is my long suffering husband, Rick. He just tries to keep our little ship afloat. I could not ask for a better assistant, photographer and stock manager. He keeps me sane while I drive him crazy.
This is my sister. Man I wish I had a better picture. She hunts down pretty little things and passes them on to me. All the money from items she passes me go to her son's education fund.
This is my friend Mein. He has a garage full of abandoned property from rental storage. He has no time to sort through it all and lets me pick through it. This spring he wants to convert the space to a gym, so my husband and I better pick hard.
Many of the vintage items I find are from abandoned or relinquished storage or houses. This gives me advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes I know a story behind an item and other times I have no clue and have to do my best to research and identify an item. Some times I know how an item has been stored and other times I do not. I try to be observant on how an item looks, feels and smells though sometimes a stain or moth hole can slip by me. Please appreciate that most items over 30 years old will have some kind of damage that may or may not be repairable.

- Money Order
Also, much of my shipping material is recycled or second-use. Though it can be more expensive at times I strive for a good, green presentation of your purchases when they arrive.
Because I ship to everywhere and anywhere I often do simple blanket shipping in increments of $5. I automatically use tracking numbers on all domestic purchases which is factored in to the shipping cost. If the shipping charges look to be too much for where you are let me know and I’m sure we can come to an arrangement.
