My pendants, charms and buttons are hand-made by me, one-at-a-time. The process of making them can be quite labor intensive, but so worth all the effort! Each piece is hand-formed from the highest quality ceramic clays, bisque fired, sanded smooth, wiped clean, waxed, glazed and cleaned again before the final high-temperature glaze firing. All pieces are high-fired, which makes the clay extremely durable. I make and fire my pieces at a local community ceramic studio with other independent artists and potters. Since my pieces are small, they can easily make use of the unused spaces between larger pots and bowls in the community kiln. Since all the space in the kiln is being filled, the energy needed to run the kiln is much more efficiently used. So you could say my pieces are "green" products! Just another reason to feel good about buying my hand-made items! Thank you!
