My name is Robert Schott and I have been a fulltime artist since 1980. I graduated from the University of Florida in 1974 with a degree in Anthropology. (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude, Departmental Honors)

For the first twenty years of my art career, I exclusively created original watercolor and acrylic paintings which were sold in galleries and at art shows around the state of Florida. I paint mostly natural images of Florida. I try to capture that beauty in my work and give it the elegance, grace and silent dignity that all life deserves.
I studied many ancient cultural belief systems while getting my degree in Anthropology and as we all know, that for whatever reasons, certain things just ‘speak to you’. My main interest in Anthropology has always been with evolution and the development of consciousness.

In recent years along with my painting, I have created a body of work that centers on sacred symbols from religions and metaphysical thought. Not only from all cultures of the world but also from ancient beliefs which still resonate today.
