Exactly what I was looking for. I'll never miss a birthday again!
small family + small business
We believe that life should be fun! We look forward to checking our mailbox everyday. Why? Because every once in awhile there’s something totally awesome in there! A handwritten thank you note or birthday card, cookies from mom, a birth announcement, or maybe a wedding invitation. We also love sending mail. There’s something so satisfying about sitting down with a nice pen, a beautiful card, and writing with a purpose. And you know that stamps are totally stickers for big kids, right? But if mail isn’t your thing, we hope you’ll still enjoy the playfulness of our collection and check out our tote bags, notebooks, calendars, or gift wrap because we also believe in functionality. (See what we did there? We put the fun in functionality!)
Everything Little Miss is a small family business that started as a hobby in 2009. My husband, Eric, supports my dreams and helps me with the business-end of things. Our two young sons inspire me on a daily basis and remind me that little things are often the most wonderful and exciting. Together, we make plans, execute ideas, and share the fun with our customers and fans.
When I was little, whenever I received a card, I’d save it to use in my own forays into card-making. I woke up extra early on special occasions just so I could make a last-minute card. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays, Hanukkah, and Christmas were big days for my collaged creations. I’d glue cut-out letters to paper to spell out greetings. My pictures would be a combination of my own drawings and images I’d taken from the salvaged cards. When I was happy with my design, I’d stuff the (sometimes-still-wet-from-so-much-glue) card into an envelope, run it downstairs, and proudly hand it to the lucky recipient.
In college, I stopped making those crazy cards. Instead, I’d go to the campus store and scour the greeting cards looking for just the right one to mail. There were so many I liked, and my freshman dorm neighbor (now husband!) and I spent many rainy afternoons perusing the selection looking for the perfect one.
In 2009, on a whim, I taught myself Illustrator and designed my own personal stationery. I had it printed and sent notes to my family. After that, my mom encouraged me to create four simple Valentines for her to sell in her gift shop. I haven’t stopped designing cards since! My style has grown since those first Valentines, and this collection is delightfully fun + bright — that’s the Everything Little Miss way!
-April May /// Founder + Creative Director
P.S. I still wake up early to make cards, but now lots more people get to see them!
Owner, Creative Director
April loves creating fun paper goods that delight customers so much that her hobby turned into a business! Since 2014, all of her working hours have been dedicated to Everything Little Miss + she loves turning her playful ideas into reality.
Advisor, Head Of Printing
Eric is a graduate of UMass Amherst and Harvard Business School. He helps April with the business side of things. He’s also the VP of Finance and Operations at his family’s small print shop, ISS. Of course, ISS prints the ELM line!
Distractor, Lord Of Fun
Born in January 2013, Wes inspires April on a daily basis because he’s an energetic toddler who just wants to have fun! He keeps April + Eric on their toes, and he’s always ready with a big hug and contagious smile.
Napper, Duke Of Drooling
Born in January 2015, Milo is the newest member of the family and the Everything Little Miss team. He is chubby-cheeked, smiley, and can sleep through loud noises. April + Eric now get twice as many snuggles and half the sleep.
