About

Just one more row...

Just one more row...

Countless rows later EweMomma was born!

To say I love knitting is like saying Lady Gaga likes to write songs or Marian Keyes likes to write stories - it simply goes without saying!

By day I'm a part qualified accountant, by night I'm a knitaholic. I'm obsessed with yarn and needles and with putting the two together to create something fabulous that can be shipped anywhere in the world.

The idea of selling my hand knits came about after hubby casually asked what I was going to do with all the hats I had knit. I hadn't given any thought to selling them at that point. I just wanted to knit!

I'll never forget my first Etsy sale, it was a magical feeling! And every single sale is still magical! I can honestly say that I'm delighted when a customer chooses an item from my shop on which to spend their hard earned cash!

I've since started making and selling stitch markers for knitting and crochet and then I started to dream about owning my own knitting and crochet supplies shop. Giving up a full time salaried job wasn't an option, so I went for the next best thing - I became an online stockist of HiyaHiya and Addi knitting needles and notions and Rooster yarns. I chose these products because I use them myself and I love them!

I'm not sure how the move into hand dyeing yarns came about. No doubt seeing all the lovely hand dyed creations available on Etsy got my own creative juices flowing and made me think "I can do that". So I did!

I take inspiration from anything and everything around me from the music I'm listening to when I'm dyeing yarn, to places I visit or pictures I see - it can all be interpreted into a beautiful skein of yarn!

My Etsy shop is a dream come true. I really appreciate you having a look around my shop and I'd love to hear from you if you've any comments, suggestions or questions!

I hope you like what you see!
