About

Weaving feeds my soul and balances my life - I love to share what I create with you all

The dance my feet make on the treadles of the loom as the shuttle moves to and fro forming the cloth….the whirl of the spinning wheel as yarn is created from fluffs of fiber….the click-clack of bamboo knitting needles as a knit item is created….the inter-twining of wool fibers creating beautiful artwork on my felted pieces….the shades of the rainbow in the dyepots as I play with color….the twinkle of glass beads adorning many of my scarves and shawls….these are the things that fuel my creative life.

I work in a studio on 5 acres in SW Oregon looking out at the evergreen covered mountains, I couldn't have better inspiration here or on the coast where I love to also spend time. I live here with my husband of 34 years and a crazy nut of a golden retriever along with the forest inhabitants such as deer, turkeys, jack rabbits, coyotes and bear.

I am primarily a weaver and weave on several looms, two Macomber looms, an 8 harness and a 10 harness, a 40 harness AVL compudobby loom and an inkle loom.

My love for beading grew out of my love for weaving when I wanted to start embellishing my handwovens with beads. I also love to work in surface design, knit, quilt, felt, sew, quilt, jewelry and basketry.

If you would like to see what I'm currently creating visit my blog at http://eweniquelyewe.blogspot.com

I also love to play with roving and sell it in my other shop, eweniquelyewefibers, commercially prepared roving from Ashland Bay Trading Co and my hand-dyed roving. I am currently phasing out of selling my hand-dyed fibers but there are still some available at discounted close-out prices in the shop. I have a long background in art but didn't really find my calling until I discovered weaving in 1986 - it's become my passion and obsession. I play with fiber on a daily basis and am thrilled to make a living at what I love.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do any custom weaving or dyeing?

No custom orders at this time

What if I find my shipping address was incorrect?

Your order will ship to the address provided to me by Etsy, please make sure it is correct. If you notice an error in your shipping address please contact me as you may catch me before your order has been mailed. If not you will have to wait for the item to be returned to me at which time I will ship it back out at your expense.

When will my order ship?

Generally your order will ship within 2-7 days. If I am out of the studio longer than that you will see that notice in my shop announcement along with an expected date for shipping. You will also get a reminder of that date in a thank you note once you purchase.

I do not ship on Saturdays as my post office isn't open to accept packages.
