I make the kind of jewelry I like to wear

I don't remember exactly when I started working with polymer clay, but it was probably shortly after I graduated from college. At that time, I mainly made Christmas ornaments for friends and family members, but I made a few pieces of jewelry, too. The only clay I could find locally was white, so I painted it with acrylic paints. I remember how excited I was the first time I saw many colors of polymer clay in the craft store.

I put away the clay for many years but recently rediscovered it and have been learning all sorts of techniques. I absolutely love working with this medium - the colors and textures are so much fun. Sometimes when I can't sleep, I lay in bed thinking up new color combinations.

When I first started making polymer clay jewelry, I wore it everywhere and started getting a lot of compliments from friends and people I didn't know. This interest inspired me to keep learning and trying new color combinations and techniques.

I decided to open my Etsy shop when I realized that I had made a LOT more jewelry than I could wear myself or give to friends and family members!

I am an architect. I specialize in residential remodeling, which is a very personal business. I love to make jewelry when I am not designing homes. I think these two endeavors have a lot in common!

Welcome to my Etsy store! I am an architect and have been working with polymer clay off and on for the past 20 years or so. I particularly enjoy making colorful, unique jewelry. Each piece is handmade and no two are identical, including each earring in a pair.

Please note that some colors are difficult to photograph accurately, and that the color you see on your monitor may be different that the color I see on mine. I do my best to make sure that the photos look as much like the piece as possible, but colors may vary.

Additional policies and FAQs
Care and feeding of your polymer clay jewelry: the beads are incredibly durable and waterproof. If they get dirty, you can scrub them with a very soft brush and dish detergent. Do not use jewelry cleaner. The surface has been buffed smooth but it will scratch. You can rub it with a soft cloth to help restore the luster if needed.

Please let me know if you would like me to include a gift card or a note with your purchase by leaving details in "notes to seller" during the transaction.
