Announcement   Hello, back by popular demand, Ook Virgin of Guadalupe Tree Toppers, set of five choices, will be listed tomorrow. Thanks so much for asking.

ExIconoclast is the site of imaginative, OOK, assemblage art that typically has a focus that bridges popular culture and Catholic, often Hispanic derivation, religious imagery. My work is characterized by color, inventive use of unusual repurposed agricultural, industrial, and traditionally disposable materials. ExIconoclast - Rural Geometry Art Photography: this work includes diverse subjects: Galveston Texas and pelicans; rural Illinois and rural industrial, as well as urban architecture in Chicago.

GREAT NEWS! If you live in the Chicago metroplex area, we will be able to deliver your purchases (25.00 minimum purchase price) to you at a central location for a nominal 5.00 charge. The offer is limited by the size of your purchase and our space for cargo (we have a truck) and by your ability to meet my partner according to her trips and schedule. Generally, we deliver twice monthly. Additionally, anything you are willing to pick up in Colfax, Bloomington/Normal, Illinois would also be free shipping outside of the 5.00 charge.

Please inquire further for more details or with questions.

Hello! thanks so much for your interest in ExIconoclast. Please contact me if you experience any problems with my site or if you have suggestions or requests. I'll do my best to respond to you as quickly as possible. I have many more items/pieces than I have time to list (working as fast as I can, but unfortunately have a day job!!!), so let me know if you are looking for anything specific. Thanks again, Torri Thompson

3 out of 5 stars

magnets are weak, can barely hold up a credit card. I'm giving 3 stars because they look great and she gave me a few for free. If you're looking for functional magnets look somewhere else.

About

My Second Life!

the rest of the story . . . for the first time I heard, smelled, and saw all the sounds that for me are inextricably a part of experiencing the divine. And have been ever since. Never did become a Catholic and no longer a Baptist, instead got a Ph.D. in Renaissance literature from the University of Texas, specializing in popular audience texts all of which are inherently religious in nature.
As a native Texan, I absorbed a great deal of Hispanic culture, an interest furthered by my Illinois friend Lenore Clark. My work has also been hugely shaped by my friendship with Dolly Weber whose academic work is on French medieval martyr saint, the incorruptibles, and all that is arcane, bizarre, and interesting.
I was never ever artistically inclined until about ten years ago when my friend Pam Unkrich started me off on the path I now travel with great delight. So, in a sense, I owe ExIconoclast to a number of people and its existence is the product of those continuing relationships and conversations.
