The standard procedure for vintage items states ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Specific measurements have been listed for each item. Please know your measurements & if you need help measuring let me know. Sizes for vintage clothing run smaller than modern sizes & every brand is different so do not depend on the size to ensure a proper fit.

Exotic Pear Industries is not responsible for damage to a garment once it has been cleaned. Please read care tags or use a delicate cycle or hand wash fragile items. Dry clean only garments should be washed accordingly. Also, some wear & tear is normal for vintage clothing so there may be small holes in the seams or slight pulls in certain fabrics. Please use caution when caring for your new, old things.

MEASUREMENTS:

It is VERY IMPORTANT you know your exact measurements when considering vintage purchases, as tag listed sizes vary greatly from current sizes & from brand to brand. The following are the measurements taken on my mannequin. Please note that a majority of my garments are plus size and special draping makes the garment fit the mannequin in the best possible way. Others maybe too small, in which case they are not completely zipper/buttoned, so please check all measurements carefully!

Please note: these are the garment’s measurements, not yours! The best way to determine if an item will fit you is to measure one of your own similar pieces of clothing so you can compare its measurements to the garment I’m selling.

I measure items by laying them flat and measuring the chest, waist and hips, then doubling those measurements. I also measure the shoulders, length and/or inseam, if applicable (these measurements are not doubled).

All items should be paid in full at the time of purchase with a valid credit/debit card or gift card through Etsy, or with PayPal. I prefer & HIGHLY recommend using PayPal.

Some higher priced items (more than $150) in my shop can be purchased with a payment plan. Please contact me by convo to make arrangements. There will be a sale fee added to the overall price to cover additional Etsy fees associated with multiple transactions. This fee is minimal, and will be worked into your payment agreement. I look forward to finding these stunning items good homes, so I want to be sure the person who loves them as much as I do can afford them.

Once payment has been received in full, the item will ship within 24 hours, unless there is a holiday that would prevent special shipping (Express, overnight, international) to be completed by the post office, such as customs forms.

All items are carefully folded, wrapped in tissue paper, and mailed in poly plastic mailing envelopes. This is to insure proper protection from weather. Larger items maybe be shipped in a cardboard box, such as a wedding dress or shoes. They will also be protected by tissue paper and in some cases a plastic bag. A message will be sent to you confirming when your package has officially been mailed. Thank you for your patience!

Shipping costs cover PRIORITY USPS mail delivery which includes $50 insurance and a spiffy tracking number! If you would like additional insurance please message me with your request prior to placing your order.

Special rush delivery rates are available. Please contact me prior to paying for your purchase to make the proper adjustments to the shipping cost.

International orders typically ship first class. I have a general shipping cost listed for international shipping; however, please send me your address BEFORE placing your order so I can double check. Sometimes the price may be MORE or LESS! Vintage materials often have flaws, but remember that some flaws add character to a vintage dress. The history is part of the appeal when you are dazzling others in such a striking, unique vintage dress!

SUGGESTION: When cleaning fabrics such as polyester or cotton, I have had success removing old & new dirt & miscellaneous stains with this spot treatment--apply isopropyl alcohol 70% to the area followed by a dab of blue, original Dawn dish liquid & rub into the spot. I suggest using a fingernail, folding a piece of the fabric around it over the spot & rubbing them together or using a very soft toothbrush to scrub the spot. Follow up with a generous amount of regular hairspray concentrated onto the spot. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes & then wash as directed.

Also, adding an equal amount of white distilled vinegar to your wash cycle will remove build up on durable, machine washable fabrics, eliminate most odors & work as a chemical free fabric softener!
