Thank you for all of your help in the ordering process! I received the veil very quickly, just like you said I would. I love the details you put into the packaging, it really shows the care and passion you put into your silk products. The veil is so light and pretty, which makes it fun to dance with. Thanks again!

expressing myself with silk ... and color!

As a silk artist, I create colorful and unique works-of-art for everyday wear. Silk painting was introduced to me on a beach in Ixtapa over 20 years ago. From the beginning, I was hooked. Other mediums never gave me the same feeling of awe that I found with silk. Over the years, I’ve developed my own style using salt to create distinctive designs.

I do not work from a catalog of designs and color combinations. Instead, I paint whatever makes me happy. In fact, unless I’m working on a custom piece, I usually do not know exactly what I’m going to paint until I start. Each silk is hand painted, making it unique. The beauty of a hand-painted item is that no two pieces are exactly alike. Creating each silk piece is an intensive process. From selecting the best quality silk to mixing custom colors using professional dyes to steaming and sewing, each silk piece is lovingly created to make you, the customer, happy (and it makes me happy, too!).

What's a FLUB? A flub is a silk that didn't pass scrutiny because of minor dye errors or minor weave glitches . . . or just because it did not turn out like I expected. Flubs are sold at a discount. See individual listings for pricing.
