Hi, I'm Elizabeth! My husband, Shaun, and I started our entrepreneurial journey in the living room of our small, one-bedroom apartment, without even realizing it.

In 2017, we started learning how to make hand-lettered wood signs for our upcoming wedding. We would cut and sand pieces on our tiny second-story balcony, probably annoying everyone in the complex. We watched hours of videos and tried every material imaginable to get our perfect results (which were never actually perfect.)

Around the same time, I started filling an Etsy shop with various graphic design items to keep myself busy after my day job at our city magazine (I’ve never been able to do just one thing at a time.) Then something unexpected happened — I fell in love with entrepreneurship. From that first cha-ching on Etsy, I was hooked.

Over the years, we went through a lot of trial and error. We tried new products, learned so much about business, and even changed our name a few times. We also got married, lived in 2 cities, 3 homes, adopted 2 dogs and much more. Life’s never supposed to be boring, right?

Eventually, we got the hang of this small business thing, and I decided to quit my full-time job to pursue entrepreneurship. And oh boy, am I glad I did.

The Ezer + Pine that you see now is the culmination of many years of dreaming, learning, failing, changing directions, and finding something that we are truly, fully passionate about.

Now we create keepsakes, gifts & decor that celebrate your little ones, all with that special handmade touch!

We believe in quality handmade goods, daily puppy snuggles and building a full + purposeful life with loved ones, and we hope to share that with your through our products.

Everything in our shop is designed and created in our home in McKinney, Texas. We take great pride in our work, and it’s truly our honor to create so many special pieces that go from our home to yours!

SO, WHAT DOES EZER + PINE MEAN?
Ezer. A Hebrew word for "helper." (Genesis 2: 18-24). But that doesn't really do the word justice. An ezer is a protector. An aid. An equal. A partner. Two people who are in equal need of each other's strength and support. That's what Shaun and I are to each other, both in marriage and in business. We started this business together, and we continue to work together to build it into something straight out of our dreams.

Pine. We started this whole journey with a trip to Menards looking for a board of Pine wood to make some signs out of. We've come a long way since then, but no matter where this business takes us, we will always have roots in a simple board of pine wood.
