Lovely, heart brooch of needle-felted wool, in traditional holiday colors of red and pink, sweetly edged with a hand-crocheted scalloped border in white, to complete that "lacy" Valentine look! Finished with white roses appliquéd in the center. Perfect for that special day!

Cute heart brooch of red-and-pink striped needle-felted wool, nicely edged with a hand-crocheted pink border, finished with a pink heart button in the center, and embellished with clear, tiny crystals for a bit of sparkle and shine! A fresh, OOAK design with a touch of vintage charm, this pin is the perfect accessory for that someone-special!

Charming, one-of-a-kind, fiber-art heart brooch of needle-felted wool in beautiful shades of pink. Hand-appliqued, with a scalloped crochet border in variegated pinks. Finished with three lovely flowers in a deep pink hue. An eye-catching design with a "vintage" sensibility, this pin is the perfect accent for collar or lapel. LOVE!

A striped, felted-wool heart pin in contrasting shades of pink, with a hand-crocheted scalloped edging, accented with pink button "flowers" and embroidery. An impeccably made, OOAK accessory that will fetch lots of compliments!

About

Retired?…Well, not exactly!

Many people, after decades of work, look forward to retirement so they can slow down, travel or spend time spoiling grandkids. I am retired but I haven't slowed down a bit. In fact, I've probably speeded up.

I find myself working 12 or more hours per day, 7 days a week. You'd think I would be exhausted working such long hours, but I'm not. When you do what you love and love what you do you are energized. For me, creating is a joy so time passes quickly—too quickly. When the day has ended and it's time to stop, I'm already thinking ahead to the next day and what I have planned. Then when morning comes, I'm ready to jump out of bed and begin again.

I started with one shop, MarvelousMittens, after a group of creative gals said I needed to sell my wool mittens on Etsy. I didn't know much about the online marketplace but, after coaxing, I initiated my shop and it took off so fast I was playing catch-up ball right through Christmas.

Since I started my first shop I have inaugurated more shops. Being a one-person owner, creator, designer, photographer, writer, and shipper for four shops really keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade my "retirement" to work outside the home.
