Announcement   Hello and thanks for stopping by and for your interest in my work! I have been creating and selling my One-of-A-Kind figures, animals, faeries, plus jewelry, miniature polymer clay food charms, needle felted items, and artwork, for about 18 years now. My work has been featured in Doll Reader magazine, on Sketch Club's online zine, and on various websites, including Brian Froud's "World of Froud" where I was thrilled to receive "artist of the month" on two seperate occasions- a true accomplishment for me! Everything in my shop is handmade by me, and once in a while I list some collaborations with my daughters, or woodcarvings by my husband Scott, both of which I will always specify. I hope you find something you like here and thank you so much for visiting! : )

Adorable necklace. I can't wait to give this to my niece. She is going to love it. These are her favorite cookies. This is such a creative idea.

Fae By McKay

Hello and welcome to my shop! Thanks so much for visiting...it means so much to me!

I have been creating One-of-A-Kind figures, animals, faeries, plus jewelry, needle felted items, miniature food charms, and artwork, for about 18 years now, and I mainly work with polymer clay.

My work has been featured in Doll Reader magazine, Sketch Club's online zine, and on various websites, including Brian Froud's World of Froud, where I also received one of their "artist of the month" awards on two separate occasions. I was very flattered, as Brian is one of my favorite fantasy artists.

I have been in a constant state of "creating stuff" since I was a kid, but lost touch with my creative side after my girls were born, which often happens when mom duties take over! But I discovered polymer clay on a whim about 18 years ago and began what can only be called a love affair with the stuff! I love how the clay kind of takes over as I'm sculpting, and I never know what the end result will be. I like to see the sculpture's personality emerge as I sculpt, paint, clothe, and embellish each one. I get a great sense of satisfaction when a piece is completed, and it's such a great feeling when someone enjoys something I made, or chooses to welcome something into their home that I have made with my own heart and hands! It makes me feel soooo very grateful,

In addition, from time to time I may list items I created in collaboration with my daughters, or made by my husband Scott, who is a very skilled wood carver. I will always specify if this is the case.

And if you'd like to see more of my past and present work, check out the links to the right and follow me on Facebook and Instagram @ faebymckay, and on YouTube @ mm0901.

Again, I thank you so much for your interest in my work- it means more to me than you can imagine!!

Happy Etsy-ing! : )

Hello and thanks for visiting my shop where I sell my hand made items! I also recently opened another Etsy shop, Clover Honey Vintage, where I sell vintage and antique items. I have been creating One of A Kind figures, animals, faeries, jewelry, needle felted items, and artwork for about 18 years now, and was selling mainly on another popular auction website until a friend urged me to try Etsy. I am so glad I did...I just love this site and I am thrilled to be here. I was named World of Froud's Artist of the Month in the past, and my work has been featured in Doll Reader magazine and on Sketch Club's online zine, both true accomplishment for me. I usually sculpt my figures using polymer clay, but I am always experimenting with new tecniques. I pride myself on the fact that absolutely NO molds are used in my One-of-A-Kind art dolls, and as I am sculpting, the figures kind of "take over" and take on a personality of their own. I strive to create art that will stir up some type of emotion in the viewer; that emotion can vary widely! For example, my faerie art dolls tend to be a little more serious and pensive (although not always), and most of my finger puppet sculptures will probably give you a little chuckle. As long as the viewer feels something, I've done my job : ) I am EXTREMELY grateful to those of you that enjoy my work, whether you are browsing or buying. Thanks for visiting!
