5 out of 5 starsIt is so beautiful, I almost don't want to put it outside, I'm afraid one of the neighborhood kids will steal it, they have done it before with other items, however i am going to have faith and put it out front, it is tooooo cute not to share it. Thank you so much for such an adorable addition to my garden, well made, and an adorable note inside for gift giving. I will most likely in the future give this to my gardening friends, and I know they will love it also. More adorable, and great quality than i could have imagined.

5 out of 5 starsThis is a beautiful fairy door that looks like fairies could have made it, while still being substantial and sturdy enough to hold up to real play. The best fairy doors out there!

4 out of 5 starsThis door is gorgeous but I was disappointed because I searched and searched for a fairy door that opens. Unfortunately, I guess I did not read the description well enough. I was positive I had ordered an opening door. Now, too late to order another one. I am sure my granddaughter will be pleased with this door. Its very well made. Good size for tiny hands. Looks like the picture.

Whimsical fairy doors, goodes and wares to delight the “wee folk” both inside the home and in the garden
Fairy Hill Woodworks is a spin-off of our fine furniture business, Barrington Hill Studios, located in Banks, Oregon. The inspiration came from our granddaughter, then 5, who wanted to invite a fairy into her home with a fairy door. Not long after, a door appeared on the wall under the desk at the top of the stairs, with a note from Merriweather, a garden fairy, saying how delighted she was to have found a new home. Our grandchildren loved exchanging notes and small treasures with the fairies!
It didn’t take long for parents of friends to ask about doors - and soon Grandpa Bob, the Master Tinker of Fairy Hill Woodworks, was supplying individually crafted fairy doors for friends, fundraisers at the pre-school and elementary schools - as well as for a number of grandparents in search of that unique gift for someone who has everything.
As a result, Fairy Hill Woodworks was officially formed in 2011, and continues to make opening and traditional (non-opening) fairy doors and cottages that spark the imagination. Using fine woodworking techniques, each door and cottage is individually handcrafted from locally gathered hardwoods.(hard maple, walnut, ash) Customized decorations are added using wood dyes, carving, pyrography, hand painted detail and miniature hardware. The doors are finished with multiple coats of an exterior acrylic lacquer, for use inside or out.
