Note from shop owner Eco-friendly head wear, for whimsical yet practical folk.
After 7 years of hood making, I am pursing other artistic endeavors.

Sock Monster at 1909 N 45th St. in Wallingford WA, USA may be a great place to fondle the hoods and find the perfect one for you.
Warm smiles to you all!

Due to my own fault, I had to make an exchange, and seller was extremely helpful and sent me a new hood right away! I love it!

Certainly fit for adventure! Has been an enormous help during this season's especially brutal chill. I love the colors, the feel of the weave, and the thick durability. Thank You for your work.

About

Fairy Tale Fibers

Fairy Tale Fiber Creations are Handmade in the Pacific Northwest using sustainable materials.
We use 100% wool selvage, which is a “waste” byproduct from the textile industry. This wool is so soft you could mistake it for cotton!

The Fairy Tale Hoods are an exceptionally versatile design. You may choose to wear it like a hat and scarf to keep you dry in the pouring rain. If you get too warm, it flips down like a Hood. You may find it handy as a satchel (just tie the scarflette and sling it over your shoulder) to forage for treasure while romping through the urban forest...These hats will become a furry tagalong you can't bear to be without.

We have a Flickr group!
http://www.flickr.com/groups/287922@N25/
Come post pictures of your hoods and yourselves we would love to see you!

We are inspired by the structural beauty of nature, and the secret world of fairies and their woodland companions inspire us. Wear our creations with care...you may find them uncontrollably addictive.

Care instructions for Fairy Tale Hoods:
Please hand wash in cold water,
Towel off excess water, then wear as it dries to make a perfect fit!
(if absolutely necessary lay flat to dry.)

Each Fairy Tale Fiber creation has its own personality. Love your hat and it will love you. Tease it and coax it in to the perfect shape, then wear it in the rain to set its shape to your head!

Additional policies and FAQs
Hood sizing:
I make wee hoods for children: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=61653§ion_id=5577673
Small Adults: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=61653§ion_id=5080175
Medium Adults: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=61653§ion_id=5080177
and Large Adults: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=61653§ion_id=5080178
Small, Medium, and Large correspond to normal hat sizes.
Because it's a hood the length makes a difference two. There are many different length necks in this world. Also the type of coat one normally wears can play into how long they want their hood to be. The range for length is 11"-14 1/2".
As for the scarflettes it really depends on how large around you are and how long you would want them to be. It's nice to be able to tie your scarflette behind your back! I'm a slimmer frame and I actually cross mine in front then tie it behind my back. The range for scarflettes is 20"-36".

Each listing has a measurement for length of hood and scarflette, usually about halfway down!
