About

family jewels~a love story

As a teen on my own since I was 16, going to yard sales began as a necessity and continued as a passion. Within a few short years, my passion grew into a business. Fast forward, after many years running my bricks and mortar shop in metro Atlanta, I was a single mom to a pre-teen son and went "cyber" in what CNN called the "bricks to clicks" movement. I've maintained an internet presence since the late 1990s, still offering the same personalized customer service I always have offered.

In my late 30s, I discovered yoga, and another passion was born. I began teaching a couple yrs later (purely by accident: the teacher overslept and the students asked me to teach!), and then I went back to school to become a certified holistic nutritionist.

Today, I juggle my passions, still running my online business, teaching yoga classes and ushering people towards optimal health and vitality through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Please don't hesitate to take a look through my store and contact me if you have questions or would like me to help you find that special collectible or gift.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer layaway plans?

We do offer layaway plans for no additional charge. My basic plan is a third down as a non-refundable deposit with the balance being due within 30 days. For higher ticket items (above $500), I can offer a 45 day due date. No refunds on layaways. Feel free to contact me for more details.

Do you offer refunds and returns?

I guarantee all items to be as described and stand behind my merchandise. If you are not satisfied with an item, however, you must contact me within 2 days of receipt and send it back for a full refund (minus shipping). Item must be sent back within 2 days of contacting me. No refunds on sale and reduced items nor partial refunds.

Are shipping prices negotiable?

My shipping prices are generally not negotiable, however, I am happy to discuss shipping options with you should you wish to use a service other than the United States Postal Service. All items are insured and that insurance is often purchased from an outside party from the USPS. I base my shipping on current USPS prices, which recently increased. I know shipping can be pricey, especially for large and oversized items, as well as for international items. This is beyond my control, but I have tried to adjust my items' prices to help accommodate the rising shipping costs.

What if an item is damaged?

Please do not return it. Items are insured through either the USPS or a third party. Simply save all packing materials and the item and contact me immediately for instructions. It's rare that a claim is necessary, but it does happen from time to time and can be a relatively simple and quick process to get your investment refunded.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, I ship all over the globe. Please note that you may be charged customs fees in your country which are beyond my control. Shipping rates are based on first class mail with upgrades available upon request. The shipping fees stated includes insurance, which is required and generally adds about $2 per $100 of coverage to the shipping total.

How much is shipping and how is that configured?

Simply click on "SHIPPING & POLICIES" tab under the photo of the item you'd like, and your shipping price will be revealed based on your US zip code or international destination.

The shipping amount generally also includes insurance, which is purchased from an outside company. So when you receive your item, the package will often not reflect those insurance costs since it is bought online. You can go to www.usps.com to view the latest rates from which these shipping amounts are calculated.
