I believe handmade ceramics should be as full of life as the stories they hold. Crafted for you with colour, love, respect, and the uniqueness of true pottery art, from memorial urns to keepsake décor.
During lockdown in London, our little family lost our cat, Tabby. The silence of a small flat without a companion is loud. When we searched for an urn, nothing felt like her, nothing joyful, nothing vibrant. Most options were mass-produced: factory ceramics with flat decals, generic shapes, lids that didn’t feel secure, and no real room for you. So we did the only thing that made sense—we learned pottery.
From the first wobbly throws to the glaze tests that ran, we fell in love with clay. There were broken pieces, cut fingers, clay under every nail, and a house full of cups nobody asked for. We found our calling somewhere between a hundred imperfect cylinders and a handful of keepers. We left our corporate jobs in London, moved to Hong Kong to practice our craft, and built Farbe Ceramics—two people, two sets of hands, one promise: we make meaningful, premium ceramics—slowly, carefully, and with you.
What we make (and why it’s different)
Hand-thrown, hand-painted ceramic urns and keepsake décor that celebrate life: vibrant glazes, characterful forms, and secure, well-fitted closures (sealing options available).
Personalisation that goes beyond a name/date—we co-design shape, colour, pattern, and scale so your piece mirrors the personality you loved (or the home you’re styling).
Artisan quality instead of assembly lines: each piece starts as a lump of clay, thrown on the wheel, trimmed, bisque-fired, hand-glazed, and high-fired for durability and a luminous finish.
Our promise to you
Care, not shortcuts. We’re not a supplier or a production chain; we’re makers. If a piece isn’t our best, it doesn’t ship.
Respectful experience. We know this can be emotional. We’ll guide you hand-in-hand from the first message to unboxing, sharing clay tests, glaze swatches, sketches, and progress photos so you feel supported at every step.
Premium, made-to-last ceramics. Designed as keepsakes for your family and centrepiece décor for your home—colourful, unique, and crafted to be passed down.
What you can expect
Materials: stoneware/porcelain clay bodies; durable, lead-free glazes; felted bases available on request.
Personalisation: custom shapes (urns, jars, vases), colours (from subtle neutrals to bold, joyful palettes), patterns (daisies, paw relief, hand-painted motifs), and lettering.
Sizing: from small keepsakes to full-capacity urns; we’ll help you pick the right volume.
Shipping: We’re a small studio in Hong Kong making pieces to order. We won’t match factory speed, but we will deliver the best we can make, safely packed and worth the wait.
Care: wipe with a soft cloth; display out of direct impact/heat; we include care tips with every order.
Why shoppers choose us
Handmade pottery, not painted blanks. Your piece is thrown, trimmed, and glazed by us—no shortcuts.
Vibrant, design-led look. Colour isn’t an afterthought; it’s our identity (“Farbe” means colour).
One-of-a-kind. Because your story is one-of-a-kind.
Our future
We started with personalised ceramic urns because Tabby taught us how powerful a beautiful memorial can be. We’re expanding into vases, jars, tableware, and décor—always handmade, always vibrant, always you.
Let’s make something together
Please message us with your colour ideas, patterns, and a little bit about the personality you want to capture. We’ll turn that story into handmade ceramics you’ll be proud to keep on display.
