Mi madre ha sido la mayor influencia en mi historia de la moda y todas las cosas antiguas. Ella ha coleccionado antigüedades y cosido ropa desde que tengo memoria. Comencé a usar ropa de segunda mano y vintage probablemente antes de que fuera realmente popular. Fui a la universidad para hacer Diseño de Moda o Merchandising y después de semestres de clases, decidí hacer Marketing de Negocios en su lugar. Avance rápido unos años y un trabajo comercial más tarde y me encuentro como ama de casa casada en todo el país. Mi amigo me animó a abrir una tienda de Etsy. Ya tenía una gran cantidad de artículos vintage (muchos de ellos nunca los usé). Y aquí estoy. ¡Con dos niños a cuestas ahora!

"Lejos de aquí" es solo mi forma de pensar el pasado, lo lejos que parece. Es encantador tener piezas que hacen que parezca no tan lejos. También se refiere a la distancia. La distancia entre mis seres queridos y yo. La distancia que he recorrido desde que me casé y la distancia que recorreré en el futuro.

Hasta ahora, mis piezas del pasado han venido de mis búsquedas vintage en los siguientes estados: California, Arizona, Pensilvania, Oklahoma, Carolina del Norte, Texas, Carolina del Sur y Georgia. ¡No puedo esperar para agregar a esta lista!

My mom has been the biggest influence in my story of fashion and all things old. She has collected antiques and sewn clothes for as long as I can remember. I started wearing thrift and vintage clothes probably before it was really popular. I went to college to do Fashion Design or Merchandising and after semesters of classes, I decided to do Business Marketing instead. Fast forward a few years and a business job later and I find myself a married homemaker all the way across the country. My friend encouraged me to start an Etsy shop. I already had a plethora of vintage items (a lot of them I never used). And here I am. With two kids in tow now!

"Far from here" is just my way of thinking of the past--how far away it seems. It's lovely to have pieces that make it seem not so far away. It's also referring to distance. The distance between me and my loved ones. The distance I've traveled since being married and the distance I'll travel in the future.

So far, my pieces of the past have come from my vintage searches in the following states: California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, South Carolina, and Georgia. Can't wait to add to this list!
