5 out of 5 starsExcellent craftsmanship. The nest has great ventilation for hot summer days and the right depth to allow bluebirds to build their nest and not be that close to the entrance to protect their babies. Other manufacturers have a similar idea with the incorrect depth and by the time the female bluebird finishes, the nest is too high and too close to the entrance, which is dangerous for the nestlings and easy for predators. I know my bluebirds will love this nest. I will update in the future once they move in! Thank you for a great product!!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
Contact me with your idea and I will let you know if I can customize a FarmGoneWild Birdhouse for you. Some options I can typically accomplish are adding a name or other minor text, or requesting that the floral design option has specific colored flowers. Customization has an added fee and will add time to your order response.
Care instructions
Do not use abrasive cleaners on the exterior painted surfaces. Wash with soapy water and air dry.
At the end of the season, remove the box from the pole (it slides off easily) turn over and remove the remaining contents of the spent nesting material. Rehang it on the pole. It will be ready for use in Spring.

What size is the entry hole and how far from the bottom is it located?
The entry hole is 1.5" in diameter. The bottom of the entry hole is 6" from the bottom of the house.
How do you intall / hang the house? Is hardware required?
The PVC mount tube is located on the back of the house. It slides easily over a standard T-post or a pole that is 1.5" or smaller in diameter. No additional hardware is required.
Where should I put my new Bluebird house? How do I attract Bluebirds to use my FarmGoneWild house?
Bluebirds prefer a sunny, open location that is close to short grass where they can hunt for food. Avoid placing it too close to buildings. It should be at least 5 feet off the ground, at least 50 feet from wooded areas. House Wrens may take over a box that is close to the brushy areas. Bluebirds typically do not nest closer than 300 feet from another Bluebird couple. However, Bluebirds and Tree Swallows will nest much closer to each other. By putting up two nests within 25-50 feet, you can attract both species, and they won't fight over the single housing option. To limit House Wrens from competing with Bluebirds and Tree Swallows, offer them a house that is closer to the brushy, wooded areas.
