Please allow 1-3 days for us to process your order. Your ceramic art will be lovingly packed and boxed to ensure safe delivery, whether it’s traveling to Illinois or Italy. We have many years of experience with packing and shipping ceramics and do everything we can to make sure our products arrive safely to their destination.
You should receive an email confirmation after you’ve placed an order. Upon shipment of your order, you will receive an additional email containing the tracking information for your package.
Light + Ladder ships via USPS for all orders in the US. We ship via USPS Priority Mail, through which customers receive their items in 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday) from the date of dispatch. Upgraded shipping is available upon check out.
Light + Ladder ships via USPS for all international orders.
There are options and upgrades- please pay attention to different services available:
USPS First Class Mail is the most affordable but does NOT provide tracking information once it has left the US. If you choice this service- we are not responsible for delays and lost packages.
Priority Mail International or Global Express Service is available upon checking out. These include tracking and insurance.
Please familiarize yourself with your country’s custom regulations before making international orders. Your country may impose import duties, taxes, etc. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
A helpful hint for international shipments: please be sure to look for a slip from your local post office in 7-10 days from shipment. You may need to retrieve your order from the post office in order to pay duties, in other words, if you don’t pick up the package in person, it may be returned. If your package is not claimed within 14 days, it will be returned to us as unclaimed. In the event that a package is unclaimed, you will need to pay additional shipping for us to resend.
Refunds and Exchanges
We stand behind the products we make 100%. If you are not satisfied with any of our products, please let us know. When ordering planters, please remember to double-check the dimensions to ensure that you get the right size for the intended space.
DAMAGED UPON ARRIVAL
Every order is packed carefully to ensure that all items arrive at your door safely. Should a piece arrive in damaged condition, please email us at info [!at] lightandladder.com within 48 hours of receiving the package with a photo of the damage. We also ask that you hold on to all parts of the piece until we’ve provided further instructions.
Should you decide that your Light + Ladder piece is not right for you, please contact us within 7 days of receipt to initiate a return. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable and the buyer is responsible for the return of the merchandise in a resalable condition. Refunds will not be issued for goods that arrive to us damaged so please take care in repackaging our goods so that it does not break in transit. The refund will be issued when we receive the item.
Orders over $400 will have a 25% re-stocking fee.
Please note: "Seconds" are final sale and are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
All products are handcrafted. Variation in color, texture, finish + size are inherent to the design and material.

Sending a Light + Ladder piece as a gift? How lovely! We are more than happy to gift wrap your order or add a custom note. Add a note with your preference when checking out or email info [!at] lightandladder.com. Also, since we send receipts via email, there won’t be one included in the box.
We are open to creating custom pieces in specific colors, sizes and materials for clients. Please message us to discuss the possibility of creating a unique item for you. Please remember that all sales are final on custom orders.
Custom orders will not be shipped until payment has been secured. Final payment will include the item price as well as the shipping rate. Shipping price includes necessary boxing and adequate packing material to ensure safe delivery of your hand made porcelain art.
