Beautiful pendant, thank you so much! I love it!
Welcome to Fata Mariani Studio!
I’m Fata and I’m a bit crazy about handmade :)
I fell in love with it when I was a little girl. My mom taught me knitting, and after that, I found some old books about crocheting and beadwork, so I self-studied it with a great pleasure and passion. Soon I entered an embroidery school and studied different technics there. When USSR broke it was a hard time for my family. I was a schoolgirl and wanted to have toys and beautiful clothes, but my parents couldn’t afford it. So my skills in knitting, crocheting and embroidery came in handy :) I took old hand knitted sweaters and cardigans, dissolved them and had different kinds of yarn for my projects. Since that time I didn’t have any deficit in clothes or toys :)
Unfortunately, I gave it up after I became a University student. I studied a lot, so I didn’t have time for my hobby. Nothing changed after I started to work as an accountant. It took all of my energy, so later I stopped thinking about handmade at all. But now I understand that I wasn’t really happy and self-expressive without a hobby.
But new page of my life began when I moved to Thailand in 2012. I remember my friend asked me, “Why do you want to go to Thailand?” And I answered, “I need new condition and atmosphere to find myself and my passion of life”. I didn’t think about anything specifically at that moment, I just wanted to be fully happy.
And after some time spent in Thailand a feeling the need to embroider something overtook me suddenly. I told my husband about it and he presented me a cross stitch kit same day. After that nobody can stop me :D I remembered all I have learned about crocheting, knitting, beadwork and embroidery in my childhood and handmade became an important part of my life. I found my passion and feel myself really happy!
Inspiration and beauty are everywhere! And now I can feel it all the time wherever I go, whatever I do. Every day I find something that inspires me and burns up new ideas in my mind! Now handmade is not a hobby for me, it is my lifestyle :)
One day my husband told me, “You are so passionate about handmade and you put so much love in it. I'm sure you should share your love with other people”. So we decided to open a shop for all my new completed projects. And we met Etsy :)
The mix of my interests and skills defines the assortment of this shop. Here you can find embroidered jewelry, accessories, home decoration, and different usable items with cross stitched elements. As all of them are created by hands, no two items are identical and some minor distinctions are almost inevitable.
I hope my products will bring happiness and warmth to you and make you smile! :)
