Etsy Shop Grand Opening:
January 1, 2018
When I came across this fabulous faux fur, I started making warm and cozy accessories for myself. One thing led to another and Faux Furever was born.
Fueled by my love and respect for animals, every piece in my collection is an example of what a fur-free future looks like.
My mission is to promote luxury without harm.

About FauxFurever
Luxury Without Harm
After a career as an advertising copywriter in NYC and side jobs in fashion styling and animal rescue, I launched Faux Furever in 2011. Inspired by my love for animals, Faux Furever is a line of sumptuous, cruelty-free faux fur accessories ranging from various style hats and headbands to scarves, shrugs, and capes. The faux fur is Tissavel, imported from France, and every piece in my collection is handmade in Detroit.
Tissavel Faux Fur is known to be the finest in the world. Made from a superior grade of acrylic and modacrylic with a 100% woven cotton backing, the fabric’s pile has a density 2-5 times greater than other faux furs. It won’t stretch out of shape or shed. Tissavel also has pelt lines on the backing which allows for precise matching during cutting and sewing.
Most other faux furs are knitted (not woven), and have a polyester backing, which is detrimental to the pile. This causes the fabric to degrade, resulting in stretching and shedding.
Due to the high cost of eco-friendly production, the Tissavel factory had to close. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a large quantity of gorgeous fabric - and will be able to continue making Faux Furever!
